All the stages of production - from the harvesting of the berries to bottling - have to take place in the above-mentioned geographical area. As a speciality we offer you the Aceto Balsamico "Tradizionale" with a maturation period of 12 or 25 years. The classic Mirto di Sardegna rosso, made according to an old traditional Sardinian recipe from the largest family-run distillery in Sardinia. The myrtle berries must be harvested directly from the plant when they are fully ripened; the berries must come from wild flora or from cultivations that are grown in conditions very close to those in which the plant naturally lives and grows in the wild. The three infusion stages - flower, second extraction and pressing - can be mixed together and filtered to make the infusion used for the preparation of the liqueur. From the typical aromas of myrtle berries, lauro leaves, chestnut honey, marine notes and medicinal herbs, it envelops the palate with a moderate sweetness, which is counterpointed by an immediate bitter note that leads to a coherent and aromatic finish. Wash in cold water, are placed in the infusion and after the separation of the liquid part of the fruits are leggermene pressed which yields the sardinian liquor Mirto with a ruby red colour and the flavour is delicate and velvety, free of colourings and preservatives from the digestive properties. The bushes for the Mirto grow in the untouched forests of Sardinia and are only harvested by hand when they are fully ripe. In addition to a fruity sweetness, the Mirto has an ethereal, tart note that makes it so unique and popular. It has top notes of lemon, lime and lavender - heart notes of myrtle, tea, amber and base notes of sandalwood, white moss, vetiver.

Mirto di Sardegna is a traditional Sardinian spirit, originates from the small red berries of the red myrtle plant. Handpicked myrtle berries from wild myrtle bushes make the liqueur from Distilleria RAU a real treat.
