I read this book 2-3 years ago and since then it’s my top recommendation for anyone who wants a comprehensive book on social skills together with Win Friends.

There is a possible indication that Madison is either lesbian or bisexual, but the context makes it so unclear that I cannot even tell if it is perhaps meant as a joke.So, Dany’s awkwardness and desperation felt very real to me, I’ve been there and remember how crushing that isolation was. The quirky illustrations are full of charming details and the unlikely hero of the tale has immense appeal for children aged 3 and over.
