About this deal

Within our membership we have a large gathering who had their first period of membership kindly bought for them by a relative or friend, often as a birthday or Christmas present and we are delighted to report that a large proportion of these members have remained in the library for years, often decades, to come. Some are far easier to guess than others, but before you can do any of this, you need to put the puzzle together. Positivelypuzzling - From fun family times together to long term health benefits and day-to-day mindful moments, there are so many positives about the humble Jigsaw! This gets an A* from me, there were no accidental placements and it was relatively easy to distinguish the shape you were looking for. If you are not sure about any of the above then please do not hesitate to contact us - we are always more than happy to discuss such matters.

PIECE PUZZLE: A fun challenge, this puzzle features iconic books from across the literary canon and a mix of genres (poetry, memoir, fiction and nonfiction). A meticulous glimpse into the life and home of a mysterious alchemist filled with books, portraits and scientific detail.I don't do a lot of puzzles, but my wife and Mum do, and they helped a lot with this and said it was a little harder than usual.

GREAT GIFT: Bibliophiles, literary lovers and art history enthusiasts alike will enjoy assembling this puzzle. But you can also look for Jan's other favourites - Saint Nicholas, The Hands, The Dentures and a self-portrait of Jan - that can be seen in nearly all of his puzzles. Here you will find pages dedicated to the history of the library, along with members comments, styles and examples of puzzles available, plus the all important details of how to join in the fun. This is how all jigsaw puzzles used to be, until the advent of colour guide pictures on the box-lids. Since the earliest days of the library, all of the jigsaw puzzles within the collection have been supplied without guide pictures, partly to add to the challenge of assembly but even more importantly, to increase the overall enjoyment of seeing each picture gradually develop as the puzzle progresses.

Characters from fact and fiction come to life in this grand library - whose story would you like to follow, who would you like to meet? These Jumbo puzzles are of a very high quality - they fit together well and there is virtually no cardboard dust in the box. With lots of intricate details, this delightful jigsaw is sure to keep your mind endlessly intrigued. The doors first opened to scholars in 1602 and in 1610 Bodley agreed with the Stationers’ Company of London that a copy of every book published in England would be held in the library.

Please note that the standard UPS UK or Parcelforce 24 or 48 services do not deliver on a Saturday, Sunday or bank holidays. The hard lines that you can usually spot are not there as you can see, but this added to the challenge to me. Jan Van Haasteren creates highly detailed, colourful and humorous illustrations that are used to create wonderful 1000 piece puzzles. Tarda més a arribar del que diuen quan fas la comanda però pots anar fent seguiment del paquet xq l’enviament a Espanya és amb correos. incredible illustration packed full of details from Terry Pratchett’s Discworld books – you may even spot a familiar face or two!
