About this deal

Give your color an instant refresh with the John Frieda Root Blur Colour Blending Concealer, a dual-shade pressed powder palette that is easy to blend into your roots for a quick touch up that will last until you wash it out.

This would have been a god send for me when I used to have blonde highlights, my dark roots grow in at lightening speed.

I also recommend using a large, well lit mirror when applying this, as it can be a little tricky trying to avoid getting it on the scalp area when you are doing this for the first time. It’s not a permanent color, but instead it’s a temporary root cover-up powder (mineral pigments) that will easily and naturally hide your roots! This root-cover-up powder is meant to cover dark roots or regrowth at the part or scalp line and it allows you to extend your highlights back towards your scalp.

At first I did find this awkward to apply to the root area round the back of my head as it's hard to see where your applying it, so if you can, get someone to help you with the back part.

Overall I did like this better than the spray version as it felt a little more comfortable than the L'Oreal one, but to be honest I think I would only use these root touch up products in an emergency as I just find although colouring your hair, a more time consuming, messy process, it just works better for me knowing, my roots are covered and I don't have to worry about transfer if I accidently touch my scalp. The Root Blur helps keep my color looking fabulous, helps me not have to visit my stylist as often and I can change up my hair look in a second by adding some depth to my hair by using the darker shade in the palette! The John Frieda Root Blur comes in four shade options from the lightest platinum to a dark espresso blend. It’s a breeze to apply and it allows me to not have to visit my salon as often, which is always a nice treat on the budget!

I love having products like John Frieda’s Root Blur available at Target because Target is my go-to for everything, including my hair products! I usually use a root coverup that it’s in a tube with a wand like mascara, but if this one doesn’t take too long to apply, I might prefer it! Someone did point out that it’s a very handy product for wig wearers to run around the wig/hair line, but it’s a more patient person than me who can be bothered to be so exact about grey coverage.
