It’s got a weird sweetness to it, I can’t quite describe, it’s like the smell of how artificial sweeteners taste.
It’s one of the scents that has a big personality and smells extremely attractive while still being affordable to essentially anyone, and I respect that. As someone who doesn't like heavy citrus scents, the tangerine note in this provides just a hint of soft sweetness on the skin, the warm, fizzy note that smells like ambergris is what really shines here. I used to smell like baby diapers and baby wipes and I could not understand what was liked about it. I'm not sure if that is the sandalwood because there isn't any other note listed that would seemingly resemble black pepper. smells similar to Cloud by Ariana Grande, but i find it fresher and a little lighter, plus more citrusy (very beautiful layered together).My sister just recently got this as a present and i thought the packaging is really pretty so i decided to try it and oh my gosh.

BR540 itself still has more undeniable woody elegance and saffron; this is more gummy and less bougie overall, but it's still fantastic. Over the course of a few days, my sheets and comforter had absorbed some of the cream, and it was simply enchanting!
I put the body cream on after a shower and had to go right back into the shower and scrub because the smell was actually making me feel sick! The masculine leaning scent is gone, and instead I get warm, sugary amber with just a hint of the tangelo. Not sure if by now BBW reformulated this scent to cut some costs like they seem to be doing w all their hits (Vanilla Bean Noel is just a shell of what used to be an incredible scent) but ill definitely be enjoying my In The Stars mist on the days I don’t want to waste the pricier stuff.
Its got that male aftershave kind of scent, so if you like super girl fruity perfumes this isn't for you. After a few seconds, the likeness mellows but considering Cloud is a 'dupe' for BR540, I can imagine this may be as well. it took a few days to grow on me, but once it did when I pass my collection, I pick this one up for a sniff. On warm days, the tangerine note smells like cheap air freshener (I have the same problem with the strawberry note in Burberry Her), on cooler days it smells quite nice especially once the tangerine calms down. I tried pairing it with another scent in hopes that I would like it better, but to me this is a hard scent to layer.
