There are lots of backgrounds and archetypes to add a little tech flavor to all the pre-existing character options. There are four basic builds: hunter, mage, sharpshooter, and warrior that help define your starting abilities. In terms of Golarion setting stuff, I would really want to get more info on Arcadia considering it gets a section of its own in Guns and Gears, indicating that it's clearly a hotbed for what the book discusses, as well as it is clearly coded as the "Americas" which is an interesting combination. It also, I have no doubt, will be the source of an incredible number of arguments about whether or not guns have a place in your game.
