About this deal

Such a sweet book - while not a how-to book about gardening, it is certainly a how-to book about teaching your children to respect nature and showing appreciation for the things your mother has taught.

It is written at a level that children will understand, but also written in a manner in which it can be shared by an adult reading to a child. Dave is a Senior Lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University, having previously taught maths and computing in schools and colleges, and had a short career in retail management in the 1980s and 90s.She has also illustrated Jennifer Adams's I Am a Warrior Goddess (Sounds True) and Kate Coombs's BabyLit Little Poets board book series (Gibbs Smith). Lemniscates ( Birds) gracefully marks the passage of time in tranquil mixed-media pictures showcasing the changing seasons and the richly hued flora, vegetables, and fruit they bring, the maturing appearance of each character, and, ultimately, the addition of Chelsea’s children to the cheerful gardening brigade. The collaged illustrations take you through both the seasons and the growing up and old of Chelsea, Hillary and Grandma Dorothy. The pineapple is fresh and sweet and I just really like how it's a healthier option than all the other possible sweet treats you could choose. We start off and this women talks about gardening with her grandma and she then shares it with her daughter and eventually her granddaughter.

A new collaboration by Hillary and Chelsea Clinton, Grandma’s Gardens is a touching story that illustrates the beauty of sharing what you love with those you love. Hilary Rodham Clinton and Chelsea Clinton share their memories of spending time with Hilary's mother, Dorothy, in her gardens and what that time meant to them. SIGNED and inscribed "To Judith with best wishes" by BOTH authors on the title page (signature only). Cowritten by Hillary Clinton and Chelsea Clinton, this book walks through memories of Chelsea’s experience with her Grandma Dorothy from the time she was a young child until her grandma was in her 90s.

Very touching story that reminded my granddaughters about my patio garden and what memories it evokes!

It feels like they were reminiscing around the dinner table, and decided to turn that exact conversation into a book. A charming book by Dave Darwent, about the garden in Sheffield created in the 1930s by his grandparents, and still maintained and cherished by him in its original style. Named the first female partner at Rose Law Firm in 1979, she was twice listed as one of the 100 most influential lawyers in America. We follow Grandma Dorothy as she shares her love of gardens with her daughter Hillary, and her granddaughter Chelsea.

She is the only First Lady to have been subpoenaed, testifying before a federal grand jury in 1996 due to the Whitewater controversy, but was never charged with any wrongdoing in this or any of the other investigations during her husband's administration. I'd recommend checking th RTC page on Instagram as they have some good information on their and they carry out other important work/projects too! However sometimes I just have to remember to ignore the author and look to see whether or not the book itself is good. Grandma Dorothy loved gardens, and she instilled that love in her daughter Hillary and her granddaughter Chelsea.
