About this deal

The Estwing AL-Pro is made from a forged aluminum alloy (aircraft grade), which is lighter than titanium. In classic mechanics, kinetic energy (which for hammers equates to driving force) for non-rotating objects is equal to 1/2 mass (the weight of the head) times velocity (speed of the swing) squared. Personally, my 20v setup, and fluke arsenal dwarfs my company’s, and includes a lot of stuff my company doesn’t even own.

We hear a lot about titanium with Stiletto framing hammers and the power to weight ratio they offer. Pro Tool Reviews is a successful online publication that has been providing tool reviews and industry news since 2008. The AL-Pro in Aluminum provides head speed and power for a lightweight hammer which is additionally equipped with the Estwing shock reduction system. Estwing Al-Pro 14oz/393g Smooth Face Hammer EALBK is extremely lightweight, forged from aircraft aluminium alloy, lighter than Titanium, making it easier to deliver power. But, how your contractor or any contractor spends his money, be it a side by side atv, snowmobile, RV….This is much the same rationale as the bicycle industry – aluminum offers high strength and lighter weight than steel, though steel has better vibration dampening properties in general. A smart contractor puts his money where he needs it, often over time and in the interest of longevity of production life. The AL-Pro delivers power in a lighter weight package, for the best performance in a hammer with our patented Shock Reduction Grip in black. My uncle runs a titanium hammer with fiberglass handle, but he can’t do half what the estwing can do.

If you have an elbow problem and an expensive hammer lets you keep on keeping on, then it’s well worth it. The PERMA-CAP™ steel head and interlocking steel claw give this hammer durable strength where it is most needed, and the reduced claw length provides increased leverage. So other than surface finish – those bits screwed in, and the steel head would need some insulator coating or be a form of passivated SS so as not to gradually corrode away the AL frame. Consequently, I’ve earned a reputation of never needing something unforseen on a job, and my crews know in a pinch that I certainly have the loaner rotohammer/high torque/laser/cable mapper/whatever that will help them knock a job out of the park. He spoke of it in terms of leverage but I think it worked because with the same speed of swing the extra-long handle meant the head moved faster through space.

Some manufacturers will offer a direct repair or replacement service (as applicable) which will often resolve your problem more quickly. They are great for rough framing where you can get a full swing, but in tight spaces where you can’t get the swing speed they are about useless. The draw is done live on Facebook using a random number generator to determine the winning ticket number. From his dad, he was able to learn irrigation, landscaping, car maintenance, basic electrical, and more. I would think that the Estwing Al-Pro was designed to compete with Stiletto and other titanium hammer makers.
