About this deal

Once you’ve installed the WL-50 on your board and charged the transmitter, it’s literally as simple to use as a standard guitar cable. The receiver can also be used to power addition stompboxes if connected to an AC adaptor, making it the perfect addition to any pedalboard.

Here you can see which frequencies are supported by this wireless system and the countries in which these frequencies are allowed in the future for wireless applications. Andertons Music Company acts as a credit broker and not a lender and only offers credit products from Secure Trust Bank PLC trading as V12 Retail Finance. The technician will check and cut each slot to make sure the strings both run freely but are not sitting in a slot that's too big. One of the team will be in contact with a rough ETA but we will endeavour to have your new guitar with you as quickly as possible. Boss says that you’ll get 10 hours playtime out of it, and whilst we’ve not tested the full 10 hours out, we gave it a good play through for a few hours and it remained green the whole time.

However, the Gear4music extended warranty scheme provides an enhanced service, and is designed to offer a higher level of protection than many 'free' warranties offered by some retailers and manufacturers. The WL-50 features a built-in dock that’s used to charge the transmitter and establish the wireless connection. This means that it’s only active when plugged into a guitar, so you don’t get that nasty pop when you take the transmitter out, as you would do with most traditional cables.

It’s about the same size as a regular stompbox, so it’s easy to fit in alongside all your other pedals. Authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority.

The better your problem and question is described, the easier it is for other Boss owners to provide you with a good answer.

However, this feature also means that when it’s plugged into the receiver and the receiver isn’t powered on (and therefore isn’t charging it), they’re put into standby mode which does very slowly drain the battery. Driven by new BOSS technology, the WL-50 delivers premium sound and a plug-and-play experience that eliminates all the hassles normally associated with wireless systems. The advantage is that I have to charge only the dongle for guitar side and do not need the USB power feed.Needless to say Thomann, as always, delivered the product with fab communication and speedy handling of everything. It will then go through an inspection checklist and is checked again for quality and playability by two more members of staff. Credit is provided by a panel of lenders with whom we have a commercial relationship (so we cannot provide independent advice). It has a simple to use plug and play design, eliminating the need for cables whilst still delivering all the natural tone and feel you have been accustomed to.

Equipped with the same high-performance wireless tech found in the WL-50 and WL-50L, the stompbox-size WL-50 features an integrated transmitter dock, two cable tone simulation options, and a DC output for distributing power to one or more pedals. Only when we went down the hall and into another room (probably 15+ metres away) did the signal drop out. Electric guitars are not traditionally very “treble-y” so this may not be as noticeable if you play solely electric guitar.Just dock the transmitter in the receiver, wait about 10 seconds, and then plug the transmitter into your instrument. As well as an output jack to run to your pedals, or guitar amp, there’s an input jack so you can just run a cable into it should you experience any wireless problems during a show. Update Nov 2019: I have now a pedal board, where the WL-50 is placed at the entry of the pedal chain - this is just perfect. Expected battery life under continuous use: Alkaline battery (AA, LR6) approximately 10 hours * These figures will vary depending on the actual conditions of use. Another handy little feature on the transmitter of the WL-50 is that there’s a tiny on/off button that’s depressed when plugged into a guitar input.
