I just love it, but like your children hubby doesn't like it, so when my folks travel down south to my brother for Christmas and we celebrate on our own we tend to forgo the Christmas pudding in favour of something that we both enjoy! Bird's Desserts are made and served in millions of homes where they are at the heart of a good family meal. Bird's Brandy Flavour Sauce is a delicious seasonal favourite to help you make your desserts and puddings extra special and tasty.

I don't often cook with alcohol as most of my recipes are for the kids too but this boozy sauce is unashamedly for me! When I was growing up my favourite part of the Christmas dinner was Christmas pudding and with it the rum sauce. Skimmed 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐤, Double Cream (𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐤) (18%), Sugar, French Brandy (6%), Modified Maize Starch, Skimmed 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐤 Powder, Stabiliser: Locust Bean Gum. he used to claim he didn't liek Christmas cake but then he tried our family recipe and now eats it sliced as thick as a door step! As a responsible manufacturer, we will only confirm if a product is gluten free when we hold current analytical test information.I've never had rum sauce my parents always used to do Christmas pudding with cream or custard although I'm not a fan of it and tend to go for Yule log as my Christmas dessert. This recipe can be cooked without spice and by changing the alcohol for something better suited to your pudding. The darker the "rummier" it tastes, but no real rum tastes like rum flavoring, which is like most derivative products, its own creation. Creamy, boozy and so so moreish, it's also great with warm pies, crumbles, sponge puddings and bananas! If you want to try rum butter next time it's equal parts icing sugar and softened butter whipped with 3 tablespoons of rum (brandy) and about 2 tablespoons of boiling water to make sure it's not too thick.
