About this deal

I have long, long lashes but they are stick straight and require much curling to get them to peep up. The magic of Benefit Roller Lash Mascara is all in the very new, very special and very different brush – the Hook n Roll brush. One other interesting thing to note with this mascara is that the expiration date is 6 months after purchasing.

Read more about the condition New other (see details): A new, unused item with absolutely no signs of wear. I found this quite a hard photo to take and it doesn’t really do the curl justice, but I think it gives you a good idea. Well, these are like flexy mini-combs that twirl through and grab even baby lashes to deposit the formula *while separating and lifting* as you draw it up and out.I find that with my Roller Lash sample it is getting everywhere on my face and is very wet, much prefer Babydoll from YSL as a high end or Benefit's Bad Gal! As you can see from my before/after pictures, it makes such a gorgeous difference and brings out my natural lashes beautifully! A tip is that you can layer a base coat of Roller Lash with a second coat of They’re Real to get some real drama but I would recommend dabbing your brush on a tissue for the second coat, otherwise the heaviness of the They’re Real formulation might drag down the curl in your lash that you have just tried to enhance. Note: I try not to have a few tubes of mascaras opened at the same time as they dry out really fast upon usage. In the photographs above I am wearing 2 coats of the roller lash mascara, I have since tried using it and applying more coats to try and achieve a fuller look to my lashes but I didn't like the look and my lashes looked really spidery and clumpy, so I wouldn't recommend using more than 1 or 2 coats of the mascara.

Maybe Benefit did something different in their mascara that makes it last longer (or maybe I’m just misinformed)…. They’re only other mascara is Bad Gal Lash and it’s waterproof counterpart, which I found to be only average. I think the slightly tacky formula of Roller Lash definitely helps it in curling your lashes, which the formula of They’re Real takes longer to dry and so gives you time to completely separate your lashes. As you can see above I’ve shown what my lashes look like before applying the mascara and after I’ve applied it, I think it’s such a big difference and I love it!If you already have curled lashes, and want well separated and longer lashes, They’re Real is the mascara for you.

It's tacky to the touch and it glued my eyelashes together so instead of a nice fan of lashes, I have clumpy, pointy triangles. terrible i've used many mascaras in my life and this was one of the worst yet also the most expensive. I have extremely pathetic eye lashes as you can see from the photograph below, they are really short and sparse and not the best at all. No doubt I really like how it curls my lashes and make them stay that way for a long period of time.

There seems to be too much product loading on the brush but that's probably because I didn't know anything about the scrapey thing that it has. Though, admittedly, I have naturally longer lashes, I’m all for enhancing and dramatising that look – and this new Benefit beauty does just that! Katie, I have not seen this mascara yet- it looks very interesting and I can see that the results look fabulous on you!
