They heated up quickly and were easy to pop in, I have quite thick, mid length hair and didn't use them all! That was the premise only the outer plates ‘are cool therefore less damaging and setting the curl after each stroke’ fat chance! After using the appliance several times, the length of time the curl pod should be left in the hair to achieve the desired style will be established. I have medium length hair which i really struggle to curl it usually takes ages and just looks messy afterwards these where really easy and quick to use and my hair looked lovely.

I found the Babyliss heated curl pods so simple to use and having hair just past my shoulders, some of the best results of any hair curling products.

I liked the idea of these, I think the design is stylish but doesn't work that well, the black plastic is hot, and to keep sliding an inch at a time as it's a tight fitting plastic holder isn't that good. Ensure when placing the rollers back in to the unit the pod is completely open to heat up correctly.

There’s no beep or anything and I can only assume the reason for this method is the light would simply not be wise in a heated electrical unit. The back of her hair didn't curl as tight and I'm sure we didn't let the additional pods preheat long enough. Ready to use indicator: The 'ready to use' indicator is positioned on the front of the unit which starts off red, but as the unit heats the pods, the indicator will subtly turn from red to clear. The on/off light was a bit difficult to see and when the light turned white to show they were ready to use it was a little hard to tell.
