About this deal

It’s certainly nothing desirable nor is it an especially good turntable, but it’s definitely not as bad as the likes of a Crosley. Personally, if pushed, I would say that 30 and 50 are ever-so-slightly noisier, but the difference is so marginal as to be insignificant and I would question whether or not that was down to the recording, or the wear that can be expected if playing a record multiple times in quick succession, rather than the deck itself.

The Numark PT-01 is portable and has a builtin speaker, if that is what you are looking for then there is no reason to consider the AT. How should I pack it and which components should I secure/take out if I want to put it in a carry on or backpack? Most of them have full automatic operation and a good number share the phono preamp, with variations in platter material, USB and Bluetooth functionality, pitch control etc.Aftermarket styli may well be cheaper, but they’re not all equivalent in quality to the AT original. One small detail that we really like is that the headshell (still not removable) has an easier-to-use finger-lift which was an issue on previous model. can I use an external preamp to use this signal so that at least it can be used while we check the Line issue?

Hi guys, new to the forum and hope I you can shed some light on this for an ignorant turntable owner. The AT-LP60's front panel has four buttons: Speed, (you select 45 or 33-1/3rpm ), Start, Stop, and Cue.As you can see, there is more than one way to setup your turntable so that it can start playing music.

The vocals remained crisp and clear, and high frequencies didn’t lose any of their detail or become splashy or distorted in any way. Besides a new external regulated power supply and some cosmetic changes, the tonearm has seen some tweaks though mostly aimed at reducing the 25Hz resonance peak which is now almost halved. I had a Crosley Cruiser for my birthday and couldn’t wait to send it back, it was horrible in too many ways.

A relative found some very thin old 8″ 78 rpm records from 1954 – some ancestral family hobbyist had got some of his reel-to-reel material pressed “for posterity”, little knowing that 78s were about to go the way of the dodo. grooves apparently are wider and a bit deeper than those on 33s or 45s, so a skinny stylus would run back and forth in the wider groove, but what’s a guy to do in a pinch… The material was mostly voice, with a few home-recorded instrumentals, so I went ahead, set the speed for 45 and started recording (in Audacity). Even if you get a voltage converter, the rotation speed of the platter may not be accurate due to the frequency of the alternating current. También puedes usar un amplificador, estereo o centro de entretenimiento con bocinas, pero necesitarás gastar un poco más en este caso. If there’s something in particular that you want to address, let me know so I can include it in the tutorial.

We've always preferred removable turntable cables because you can swap out worn cables, or upgrade to a higher quality cable. No matter how fumble-fingered you are, you'll never scratch an LP or damage the stylus if you use the autoplay feature. They are 180 gram vinyls and I’ve heard that because of this new way to make vinyls that the Lp-60 will actually play the record faster than usual or not be able to play it properly at all. I agree with you that the main spindle bearing is nice and tight, and turns quietly and smoothly, and that the arm bearings are not as tight as I would like them – I have a couple of 80’s Technics turntables too and those arm bearings are superb!Component cables are provided which allow you to connect this to something like a preamp, speaker system or powered speakers.
