About this deal

The disc itself feels solid, not like the wibbly-wobbly thin things of the (oil crisis) 1970s/1980s, and as it's a relatively short album the grooves have room to breathe, resulting in proper bass - plus plenty of room to lower your stylus at the start of a side; ideal for those of us who have a bit of the shakes when hand cueing. A must have for the Floyd aficionado, being the first actual "Remix" in the bands extensive discography. Taking new shots of the building as it appeared during the recent conversion work, Po experimented with new angles and produce some striking new takes on the classic original. If you’ve already done that, your item hasn’t arrived, or it’s not as described, you can report that to Etsy by opening a case. The 32-page booklet features rarely seen behind the scenes photographs of the album sleeve shoot along with live images and memorabilia.

Not only does it have a punchy crisp bass that thunders, but the lead guitar work and synth in Sheep are a full frontal assault that at times leaves you overwhelmed, and yet every note comes through clear as crystal and leaves you wanting the album to be longer. Pink Floyd’s Animals features the mega-selling prog outfit beginning to turn dark and disillusioned, which made for more interesting music. Some of the technologies we use are necessary for critical functions like security and site integrity, account authentication, security and privacy preferences, internal site usage and maintenance data, and to make the site work correctly for browsing and transactions. After decades of dismissing Pink Floyd for being a bit too avant-garde for my tastes, and only enjoying a handful of their more mainstream songs, I finally sat down with my partner after putting together a new hifi setup and gave them a proper listen, starting with Dark Side of the Moon and then Echoes and found that I really rather enjoyed them.

I always thought the artwork was mediocre at best just seeing it on my phone or laptop, but it actually really pops on the LP.The album's iconic cover shows an inflatable pig (now known as Algie) floating between two chimneys of the Battersea Power Station, conceived by Roger Waters, and designed by long-time collaborator Storm Thorgerson of Hipgnosis Studios. Animals has never been as easy listen (it was never meant to be) but although no DSOTM or WYWH it does carry on the Floyd tradition of being strangely timeless.
