About this deal

Anything over dE 3 needs correcting and causes more obvious differences in appearance relative to what should be shown. A lower weight is also an advantage for home appliances, as it makes transportation easier, and for many other types of products.

The most widely used panels are those with 6, 8, and 10 bits for each of the RGB components of the pixel. Tilt adjustment enables a user to change the viewing position of the display, creating a more comfortable view of the screen. Instead, we find six angular addressable RGB strips that feel like a pointless inclusion, particularly as they’re drowned out when bright images are on the screen, even in a dark room. Information about the available connectivity ports, slots and interfaces such as USB, infrared port, SD card slot, audio/video and network interfaces, etc. Most displays have the ability to be tilted forward and backward as to provide a more comfortable viewing position for the user.Gamut coverage – we provide measurements of the screens colour gamut relative to various reference spaces including sRGB, DCI-P3, Adobe RGB and Rec. I really, really don't need more screen real estate for anything desktop based - 27" 1440p already fits nearly three A4 pages of text, and I have a secondary 24" 1080p monitor to the side. Unfortunately these modes are locked down for brightness and colour controls, but there are also 3 fully customisable ‘Gamer 1 – 3’ modes which may be useful to set up for different gaming scenarios if you want. Each has its own specific features - viewing angles, color reproduction, response time, brightness/contrast, production cost, etc.

And, crucially, I really want to avoid the hassle of getting a new monitor set up and cable managed into my desk - I want to be >90% sure I'm making a good decision before pulling the trigger.Dive into infinite different video games realms with graphics looking more lifelike than ever before. We should talk here though about the backlight behaviour as unfortunately, and quite unusually in this day and age, the screen features a PWM ( Pulse Width Modulation) oscillation with the backlight being dimmed and brightened very quickly.

This was measured at ~37,500:1 which was much better and so overall across the screen as a whole you can achieve some significant improvements in contrast in certain scenarios. That would be true if I had the type of time and energy needed to do something like that - and sadly I don't. AOC Agon AG274QXM - Monitor QHD de 27 Pulgadas, 170Hz, IPS, 1 ms, Mini LED, diseño RGB, HDR 1000, KVM, Ajuste de Altura, Altavoces (2560x1440 (Delete) 170Hz, 600 CD/m2 HDMI 2.If the manufacturer does not provide such information, the width is calculated from the diagonal and the aspect ratio.

We first of all test the screen visually in each of its available overdrive modes and at a range of refresh rates from 60Hz, all the way up to the maximum supported. Input lag was super-low and you get a nice combination of 1440p resolution and 170Hz refresh rate that is more accessible to many people. Not much direct experience outside of a few brief sessions, but I'd be going in planning to run 150% scaling to match a 1440p desktop, just with sharper text rendering.

With HDR enabled there are 4 modes available in the OSD menu – labelled as DisplayHDR, HDR game, HDR movie and HDR picture. ports are on the back of the screen, it might have been nice to have a couple as easy access on the side or something. From the HDR side of things there’s no doubt the Mini LED backlight offers vastly superior experience to most of the desktop “HDR” monitors on the market.
