About this deal

The light is very valuable, has a sealed USB-C connection, the holder of the lamp body itself is extremely flexible thanks to the small "ears" mounted on hinges and the light output and the ability to adjust the flashing is wonderful. The VLS button sits right next to the on/off so ideally you need to be looking at them, meaning you perform any lumen-fettling while stationary. We have a range of individual rear bike lights, front bike lights and light sets perfect for any bike including kids bike lights. After all, like you say, "it's not very convenient to have to use a specific cable"; increasingly that means USB-C now has the advantage.

But flashing in daytime was nowhere near as bright or effective as with my now eight-year-old **Moon Shield 60** (which I shall now have to keep going for a bit longer). However, four years since its launch, the Cerberus is no longer so unique; there are plenty of other lights offering side visibility now. Lamp could not be made secure on 8mm-diameter rear rack support, my chosen location – it wanted to rotate come what may. A funcionalidade até 150 lumens é ideal para ser visto a longas distâncias; a bateria dura bastante, e o carregamento por USB-C é future-proof e bastante conveniente. This conceals and waterproofs the USB port and does a good job, but it's a shame it's removable, because removable in my house means easily lost. This is probably good for aerodynamics but makes it difficult to operate these with thick gloves on when stationary and impossible on the fly.

Variable Lumens System: Find the perfect brightness for your ride with Moon’s Variable Lumens System. It is also very convenient that you go with USB rechargeable battery and not with non-rechargeable batteries. With the VLS (variable lumen system) you can almost make it run forever (a claimed 140 hours, which I can't claim to have verified), and charging is two hours as advertised. The back of the lamp consists of a removable silicone gasket that fits over three hex-bolt heads, seals the USB-C socket, and is held between the mounting surface and lamp by the ‘’O’’ ring.Emma moved from Lotto-Belisol to Dutch team Redsun, working primarily as a domestique for Emma Johansson.

Although I've complained about how I might lose the rubber bung or the USB-C cable, I am giving the Moon Cerberus a score of 'Exceptional' because the amazing side visibility it supplies is so much more important. The poorly placed hinged wings and free-to-move rubber pad have existed since the launch of the Cerberus, it’s a shame not to see them addressed by Moon. It has a good selection of modes including a "pulse" one that I wanted, and you can change the brightness to make the battery last longer, but I agree with others it's tricky to navigate the options with the buttons. The 50 lumen steady mode gives a more modest 1 hour 45 with the VLS coming in useful here if you are planning a longer ride on a winter night. Our belief is to bring the utmost standard of illumination of bicycle light for cyclists who explore mountains or cities in the dark.

I predict it will be particularly popular with time triallists now that rear lights in CTT time trials are compulsory as of 1st January 2020. Run times have been consistent and you can really squeeze hours out of it with the VLS; 18 hours in steady mode at the lowest setting, 100+ hours on day flash in the lowest setting. While the electronics and LEDs in lights is getting better, the outer case and mounting design seems to be going backwards. The other Moon lights I've had have been well designed and I assumed it was also going to be possible to do some other mounting option, maybe clipped to my saddle bag, but nope.By having a pair of fins, it fits perfectly on the round seatpost and the aero seatpost of a speedmax canyon with the included middle and large rubbers. We advise you to check the individual manufacturer’s warranty policy to see whether the specific problem or issue you are experiencing is covered.
