In a punch bowl add 50ml Wray and Nephew Overproof Rum, 25ml Dark Rum, 100ml Orange Juice, 100ml Pineapple juice, 30ml lime juice, 25ml strawberry/mango/Grenadine syrup. As you taste, smooth caramel sweetness and lively tropical fruits give way to pimento spice and a lively pot still rum finish. The reason why I chose the Monymusk OP to go against the godlike Wray is because they are both pot and column distillate blends unlike the other two which are pot still only – so I thought it would be interesting to compare.However, there was an over-supply of Jamaican Rum after World War II, and under agreement with the Spirits Pool Association of Jamaica production was ceased in 1962.
