One taste, and if it was an act of selfishness, then you should know, it certainly wasn’t one-sided, Auren.Ich habe das Gefühl, Auren zu kennen - Auren, eine großartige Protagonistin: mutig, stark und selbstbestimmt. But when political upheaval sees me sent across kingdoms to a future I no longer understand, everything I thought I knew about King Midas is shattered . Die Entwicklung der Reihe ist großartig: Nachdem mir in Band 1 noch einiges an Handlung gefehlt hat, wurde nun alles Potential ausgeschöpft. Some things I expected but one of the things was definitely a surprise and it’s the thing that ends up making Auren break. Obviously Auren is going to be the outlier when she steps into her own, becoming the chosen one of this little feminist movement but jeez.
The characters are interesting and the steamy scenes are not over the top or too often but they are steamy. Then for some reason this book had to introduce an actual date rape drug and that is sure a fucking choice in a book series that was already "lets abuse women! I can't even imagine how much better Glow is going to be, especially since this book has one of the most satisfying scenes so far in the series. I presume she will stay in the story as the next villain along side King Midas' dethroned, exiled Queen. It's the way I've fallen in love with this series oh god I'm so going to be in a long and agonizing book hangover. There is more political scheming in this book as Auren is back under Midas' control in Fifth's palace, where King Ravenger of the Fourth, and the Queen of the Third Kingdom are also staying for a while.
