About this deal

Designed to be read and reread on the days leading up to Easter, this book teaches little hearts to celebrate and anticipate the true joy of Easter. According to the formula above, this should have meant that Easter would be observed on Sunday, March 24. A special thanks to LifeWay for sending a complimentary copy of Tama Fortner’s book, Easter is Coming.

Vineyard Churches UK and Ireland is a Charitable Company limited by guarantee registered in England and Wales under Company No. So as I tried to to listen to the sermon about Palm Sunday, all I could think about was what I hadn’t done. While only twenty-four pages, Fortner does an excellent job emphasizing the meaning of Easter and why Jesus came. So, naturally, when the opportunity arose for me to review Tama Fortner’s new book, Easter is Coming! If you are looking for a great book to entertain, capture the interest of your children, and introduce them to the good news and its implications which we celebrate on Easter Sunday, then this is the one for you! In any event, the technique fascinated me and I thought the author/poet/creator was incredibly creative. From all the Editors here at The Old Farmer’s Almanac, we wish you a Happy Easter and a joyous spring season!

For many days, children can cozy up with their parents as they explore the Easter story through the eyes of twelve different characters. Mommy and her little ones settle in for storytime as she relates the biblical account of Christ's life, death, and resurrection! Bonnie Fite has produced a book for all God’s people, from every part of the earth, and every age, so we can all rejoice in the resurrection and praise the Lord Jesus Christ for eternal life He has given to us.

I’d been recently working with Luke’s story of the resurrection which, like the other three, is quite candid about the absolute disbelief of those closest to Jesus when they first hear word of the resurrection.

We are officially a few days into Holy Week and Easter is quickly approaching, which means Lent is wrapping up. Starting with the cheering crowds and ending with Jesus and His loyal ladies, the good, the bad and the indifferent characters are revealed. To put it another way, there are no original ideas, only ideas that are adopted, adapted, stretched, combined with other ideas, and the like. Read to children by children, parents and grandparents, this book is a family tradition for generations to come.

But that’s not quite right, as this isn’t a single word or number but rather sets of phrases that combine into sentences and produce a short narrative. But on further reflection, I realize that behind most of them is my fear of pain and my fear of regret.
