My mum and dad brought me back a similar thing from Turkey a few years back although it fits standard sized bread, so no waste and a proper sized toasted sandwich. I agree about them being no good for a large family/group (unless you got 2 lol) but for the 3 of us it will be fine. I just made a plain old cheese and magno chutney toastie today (we've run out of branston pickle lol) but it really was nice and best of all there's no melted cheese to clean off the diablo, unlike with an electric breville type one. You’re not even confined to using it on the hob, as it’d be great for camping or used on a woodburner (which I’m going to be doing).

I used mine for the first time while camping at the weekend - I had corned beef, cheese and pickle toasties - lovely! International products have separate terms, are sold from abroad and may differ from local products, including fit, age ratings, and language of product, labeling or instructions. Which isn’t a big deal to me but if you like to keep your chopping board pristine and un-branded, you should probably put the hot Diablo on a trivet or something.
