The PTK 3,6 LI’s Push + Release system allows for controlled work by simply pushing the tacking nose onto the workpiece and pressing the switch, eliminating the risk of self-triggering.A staple won’t fire unless you first have the business end depressed into the surface, which is a neat safety touch to avoid any accidents, but when lined up it will fire a staple into softer woods, fabrics and even plasterboard. I bought it because I made a headboard for my bed and need a staple gun to attach the canvas to the MDF base. Right at the beginning I thought that with mine until my husband explained that I needed to have the staple head at the correct angle as it won't fire unless it is correctly positioned. It costs more than some alternatives but we offset the expense of having to have the chairs recovered by a professional, and now we have it we can do more jobs in the future.
