I have an Arbortech disc which is much safer but can still cause serios damage but at least no chain to fly off into your face at great velocity. The Office for Product Safety and Standards are also telling any business that sells these chainsaw discs as attachments for angle grinders to remove them from the market immediately as they do not comply with the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008. Consumers, local authority trading standards services and businesses are asked to take specific action to cease use or remove them from the market as advised below. These attachments are not designed to be used together and are likely to cause loss of control which could result in serious injury or even fatality.

Chainsaw Discs that are marketed to be used on angle grinders could be considered interchangeable equipment under the 2008 Regulations and based on OPSS risk assessment are not able to meet the essential safety requirements when combined with an angle grinder. A national warning has been issued by the Office for Product Safety and Standards for the immediate removal from sale of angle grinder chainsaw discs. I assume that's tongue in cheek as anyone seriouly asking most certainly shouldn't be allowed near one.
