Amari has grown up so much since the 1st-book and she's now a fairly confident and astute young practitioner, who knows how to fight the good fight. I rarely look forward a book release any ore as I've got a bunch already to keep my mind occupied with. Amari and the Great Game immerses you back into the vibrant supernatural world living hidden within our own.

As an old villain comes back to haunt them, chaos ensues, resulting in Amari having to enter a terrifying competition known as the Great Game. He is only disappointed that he has to wait 7 months for book number 3 to find out what happens next! Amari and the Night Brothers gives an electrifying jolt to middle-grade fantasy, that takes the ingredients we know and love--strong-willed, relatable protagonist, a worthy quest, and a thrilling magical portal--and makes them fresh and new. However, I still think that it is worth reading if you enjoyed Amari and the Night Brothers, and I’m still keen to pick up the third book.

There was just the right amount of choice to suit everyone without being overwhelming and I received comments from parents and staff about the quality of books offered compared to previous sales which have always been based around current crazes and well known celebrity authors.The Great Game is both mysterious and deadly, but among the winner's magical rewards is Quinton's last hope--so how can Amari refuse? B. Alston is a genius and the Supernatural Investigations series is one of the most creative, immersive and well written children's books of all time. Sometimes there wasn't enough balance between The Great Game challenges and the time freeze mystery, and regular training at school. This challenge sparks the start of the Great Game, a competition to decide who will become the Night Brothers' successor and determine the future of magiciankind. Yesterday a parent came over to tell me how impressed she was by the book fair and that you did a fabulous job of selling the books to the children first.

With this being said, I am really looking forward to the 3rd-book, which I expect to be absolutely epic.They would also only drop off a case of books and leave us to run it – it was so lovely to have you on hand to chat to the children and recommend them books, as well as the small (but appreciated!

Just because we are dealing with a supernatural world/problems doesn’t mean that the themes in it aren’t relatable! I genuinely love this series so, so much - the plot is fantastic, the world building is perfect, and. And as I read, I remembered that Magnus wore a cowboy hat and was ‘western’ even though the author really didn’t remind us of who he was. Since it's just setting up the cliffhanger ending, it doesn't have to try to rush an ending at least, so that was good too. Amari turns to the secret League of Magicians, hoping to get help and disprove popular opinion about magicians.
