About this deal

But it may also strike some as overly simplistic, since the tone veers towards childish at times (""We've all seen how Bullies work. In 2001, his career took a decisive new direction with the founding of Global Vision Resources, a private non-profit operating foundation that produces, markets, and distributes video and curriculum products to retail outlets, businesses, schools, and ministries around the world. For those that have dreams but are yet to start the journey of pursuing it, this book is also for you :) As someone who is currently on the journey, I could resonate with the various phases explained in the book. That is not to say that someone not of the Christian faith can’t find use and revelation from this book – it is just a note so that the context of the lessons make sense; since the book starts off with an allegory. We speak in metaphors every 20-25 seconds, and so I appreciate that he made use of this universal tool of communication to convey such a powerful message.

Bruce has helped me to see that taking proper time in Sanctuary with the Dream Giver, is crucial to the next leg of the Dream journey. Leaving one's Comfort Zone, and the stability and peace of mind that accompanies it, seems to be the most difficult course of all. At first Ordinary thinks this is some new revelation but as he asks a trusted member of his family (in this case his Father) he realizes – the dream has always been with him! It's a very religious little self-help book focused on how to discover, achieve, and overcome obstacles related to dreams and life's purpose. Otherwise, I was greatly encouraged by this book and I think it is required reading for those who want advice about the tug that God has put on your heart - Your Dream.

Anybodyies all around cheer – but as he stays in the village Ordinary sees the toll that the Giant and its despair has taken on the people. Bruce Wilkerson still has the gift of telling a story with clarity, relate it to key events in the Bible and is able to clearly explain it in simple terms and illustrations. Wilkinson also founded Dream for Africa, a humanitarian agency that has taken on AIDS, orphan care and hunger in sub-Saharan Africa. Bestselling author Bruce Wilkinson shows how to identify and overcome the obstacles that keep millions from living the life they were created for.

He thought about how wonderful it would be to do what he loved to do instead of just dreaming about it. I like this because with so much of coaching being ‘neutral’ one can wonder how we show that we care. You will see in the story that as we embark on the journey to fulfill the dream, we encounter obstacles along the way that will try to deter us from advancing. Let Bruce Wilkinson show you how to rise above the ordinary, conquer your fears, and overcome the obstacles that keep you from living your Big Dream.

However, this presentation reveals to me that the experience of spiritually chasing your dream is universal. This is a powerful book and message intended to shine a light and empower readers to let go of the comfortable “familiars” in their life and move towards achieving their dreams - dreams give to us by our Dream Giver, God.Just like Ordinary, many of our friends and family members don't want us to leave "the land of familiar," so they put barriers in place, making our decision to go even more challenging that often we give up on who we know could be for who we are in other people's eyes. The parable was easy to relate to, to apply to my own life as I've walked forward into my own dream. Having read Ordinary's tale, I now understand so much more about the process of developing a Big Dream, inspired by the Dream Giver. We don’t always need to chase bigger dreams, but seek to glorify God in all things (even the small and ordinary things).
