About this deal

Not only that, but it’s 10 per cent lighter than its predecessor and can fit easily in car footwells, allowing you to pack properly for a camping trip away. A nice touch is a dividing section which can be filled with water and frozen at home before you set off on your journey.

PORTABLE - Durable wheels and a pull-out handle allow you to transport the electric coolbox to wherever you wish, providing easy access to its contents. It has a broader temperature range below ambient outside temperatures compared to the Vango Pinnacle, Leisure Direct.

In our opinion, no electric cooler combines greater simplicity, affordability, and efficiency than the Outdoor Revolution Eco Deep Extreme. As for the interior of the Hi-Gear, it isn’t partitioned – however, as a result it can easily be cleaned using water and a small piece of cloth without any fuss. I wouldn't be keeping raw chicken or sausages in one, put it that way, unless I was up here in Scotland at our normal summer temps of 18'C. First impressions count, and the dazzling blue of the VonShef Electric Cool Box really catches the eye. If you're looking for a high quality durable ice cooler to keep in one place whether that be a camp site, the back of the truck, or at home then you may look into our Tundra hard coolers.

Electric connectivity: 12V connection are a real advantage if you’re planning on running your coolbox off a leisure battery, however we found that they don’t always cool quite as well as a 240V mains powered unit. There are two mesh storage pockets on the exterior, and inside there’s a band to keep bottles steady, plus two additional net pockets. Since getting the Aldi electric coolbox, I have often wodered about it's claimed 18Deg below ambient tempreture spec. There used to be a great TV advert in the UK which went something like “Ronseal quick drying wood stain – it does exactly what it says on the tin! Inside the lid are two small circular cut outs which are designed to allow 2 x 2litre bottles to stand up inside the box.Still, it can definitely chill and is great for cooling drinks in this respect, when you don’t have to be completely ice cold. They mention it's very good at keeping things cold, and ideal for picnics and using in the car or caravan.

The best cool boxes were solid and were barely scratched when dropped; the worst shattered and broke when dropped. We tested both electric cool boxes and passive ones, on everything from insulation to durability and portability. All cool boxes performed OK, but all the electric cool boxes we tested performed better than passive ones.

We fearlessly embrace all weather conditions, conquering winter chills and even dancing through hurricanes. It’s the perfect thing to take on long car trips or caravan holidays, with a 28 litre capacity and a power control dial that lets you flip between hot and cold functions. It’s heavy duty so not one for short park stays - but it will perform brilliantly on long trips or if you’re catering for a large crowd. It will operate from the 12V cigarette lighter of your car or campervan and comes with the requisite lead.

It does pretty much everything you need from a thermoelectric cooler as well as looking stylish in its grey, white and green colours. It does not have a divider section inside compared to other cool boxes, but this does not matter as it does not have any benefit apart from keeping fresh and frozen food separate. The funny thing is we have just been away for the weekend and decided to take the electric coolbox as its smaller.
