Our Opinion: - If you are into wet shaving, then you will recognise the Taylor of Old Bond Street brand as they are world renown for making high quality shaving products. We recommend starting with the cheeks first, then the neck and finally finish off with the chin and the mouth. So shaving gel is cheaper for sure but just doesn't have the quality of lather or protection that a cream has. Mine was relegated to the toolbox for lubricating screws (which it's ok at, although not as good as a bar of regular soap - but the tub keeps the rest of the toolbox soap free) about 6 years ago - about a week after I gave it a go.

Gels are just easier to find in supermarkets and chemists, though not as good as these types of high quality creams. The lather on this one is slightly thicker than other Taylor creams and that makes a huge difference to anyone with sensitive skin types. Up until three years ago the cream was made in Jordan but since the brand changed owners production moved to the UK. No matter what type of razor or shaver you pick, you are going to need something to lather your face. The brand changed hands few times in the last few years but the dish stayed good and the stick as you find is a bit of a hand soap. When we tried this one out it created a rich moisturising lather but it took a lot more cream than the Palmolive option to make the same amount of lather.
