Though he can’t exactly converse with Nemo, he nonetheless looks out for her. He tugs on her pants leg when he senses danger and distracts her enemies at key moments. I admit I was more distraught about Pig getting washed away in the storm in the movie’s climactic story than I was for Nemo. (The girl was always going to live! Jury was still out on the stuffed animal!) Don’t worry—he makes it.
