The story is about teen-aged vampires that attend a special vampire schools at night. Lilith is one of the main characters and an Old Blood. She meets, and instantly hates, Cally who is a New Blood, or so she thinks. Most believe her to be a Half Blood, half New and half Old, but she is actually a hybrid, half human and half vampire.

Tomb of Dracula, published by Marvel Comics 1972-1979, revolved around a team of vampire hunters fighting Count Dracula and other supernatural threats. Dillon tiene que lidiar con muchas cosas nuevas y, aunque podría haber sido interesante verlo desarrollarse, lo cierto es que no es así ya que “por instinto” parece que acaba siendo bueno en todo, cosa que a mí me aburre bastante ya que no hay una tensión real en la trama, no me hace “sufrir” por él y no he visto evolucionar al personaje. Prácticamente todo el libro son los personajes conversando, de fiesta, "enamorándose", peleando y compitiendo por "destacar" en la academia. Para ser un primer libro, la introducción de los personajes resultó extraña y apresurada, pero luego todo el libro fue una gran introducción en la que no pasó nada. Solo Dillon enamorado de su compañera con una historia trágica, un pobre intento de descubrir qué es lo tan especial en Dillon y no sé qué más, de verdad.

I enjoyed the myth of adding vampire hunters, the Van Hellsings, to the story. Creo que es un mal libro? Creo que es un libro que hemos leído cientos de veces, con la salvedad de que, en este caso, el protagonista es un muchacho y no una muchacha como suele pasar en este tipo de libros. Pero, si cambiáramos el género del personaje, su presencia y peso sería exactamente la misma. Y no hay cosa que me dé más rabia que un personaje principal que no tiene carisma, ni identidad propia. Y ¡ojo¡ no digo esto porque el libro no haya entrado en mi lista de libros recomendados, si no porque esto mismo es algo que me ha pasado mucho con los personajes femeninos de Brandon Sanderson (pero esto es para otro día). Toch besloot ik vandaag om het boek weer op te pakken, en vloog ik er wel weer snel doorheen door de pakkende schrijfstijl en de toch wel interessante setting van de school. The Noble Dead saga — Fantasy vampire story with elves and other creatures but focuses on a Dhampir. Fast paced but also has incredible character development and an epic story. Has some romance but it’s not the focus of the story. I am surprised at how few people know this series because it’s that good.
