About this deal

A self-professed travel enthusiast, she loves incorporating beautiful destinations into her stories and will never say no to a good chai latte.

Overall, the book is good, but I still think the previous book in the series still has my heart. Again, would I recommend this book to others, yes. Would I listen to the next installment? Yes. Congratulations Ana for a wonderful writing. Can’t wait to read more from you. Alessandra was also a little whiny because one moment she was asking for divorce and the next moment she was having sex! She was constantly having betraying body syndrome and it was just not OKAY! 😒 and SHE STAYED QUIET FOR 10 FREAKING YEARS LIKE WHERE'S COMMUNICATION GIRL? so Ana, you're telling us that they're married for 10 years and spent 3650 days without even discussing these issues? Dom was beside himself but even he could admit that his marriage had been coming second but admitting and walking away were two completely different things and Dom was determined to never let Alé go he just had to convince her that he'd never let their marriage fall to second place again.

The chemistry between these two characters where amazing. And it made for some pretty epic moments. I loved how Dominic and Alé loved each other, even when they weren’t together. I also really enjoyed reading little moments about the characters in the previous books.

I’m honestly not sure why the book was this long because it feels like nothing happened. I was kind of rooting against their relationship for the first half and only by the end was I kind of ok with it. I have to be honest it didn’t have the angst, sadness or grovelling I was expecting. It was kind of sad but I wasn’t really feeling it. Then the whole his brother storyline kind of came out of nowhere and still felt incredibly unresolved by the end. All his attempts at groveling kind of just felt entitled to be honest. And while he should have realised there was an issue without her telling him, she should have told him a lot sooner. Maybe I wasn’t in the mood for this, because I love a marriage in crisis book but not this one.Her books have been sold to over two dozen foreign publishers for translation and featured in outlets such as NPR, Cosmopolitan, Financial Times, and Glamour UK. Alé loved Dom, that wasn't the issue but she hadn't been his priority in a long time. The final straw came when she was stood up on their 10yr wedding anniversary. It drove her to do something she never saw in the cards. She called it quits on their marriage and walked out leaving nothing but her ring behind.

Alessandra’s last straw of heartbreak was their ten year anniversary trip which he didn’t even bother canceling. When Dominic came home two hours after the time they should have left on their trip, Alessandra was gone, her wedding ring left by their engagement picture. Alessandra, once content to play the role of the trophy wife by Dominic’s side, begins to realize that her husband’s relentless pursuit of success has transformed him into someone unrecognizable. She grapples with the heartbreaking truth that she has become second to his work, and in a courageous act of self-preservation, she decides to put her own happiness first, even if it means leaving the love of her life behind. He has everything - a beautiful home, a beautiful wife and more money than he could spend in a lifetime. But no matter how much he accumulates, he's never satisfied.

Customer reviews

she was already moving on when I’d been slowly dying inside for the past six weeks, five days, and four hours." Teddy Hamilton did an amazing job. He got the easier part as he is an American who learns a hard language, so a heavy accent is expected, acceptable and forgivable. He does have trouble with a couple of tongue twister for non-natives! But all in all, well done, sir! However, there were a few elements that stood out. The intimate scenes were tastefully crafted. The reappearance of beloved characters was a heartwarming touch, and the epilogue and bonus scenes offered delightful closure. When it becomes clear that she'll always come second to his work, she finally takes charge of her life and puts herself first - even if it means leaving the only man she's ever loved.

When it becomes clear that she’ll always come second to his work, she finally takes charge of her life and puts herself first—even if it means leaving the only man she’s ever loved.I am so grateful this author didn’t use any cheap trope to get Dom try make Alessandra jealous by having him date anyone. I would of stopped reading immediately and written him off. I know this is completely double standards because she went on dates (and yes we had some very delicious jealous scenes!). However her reasons for dating were valid- she wanted to discover who she was again (and she doesn’t sleep with anyone so all ok in my book). I received this book for free from the Author in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. King of Greed by Ana Huang In “King of Greed” by Ana Huang, readers are immersed in a world where ambition knows no bounds, and love teeters on the edge of collapse. Dominic Davenport, a man who clawed his way to the summit of Wall Street, seemingly has it all: wealth, a lavish lifestyle, and the beautiful Alessandra, his devoted wife. Yet, behind this façade of success lies an insatiable hunger for more, an addiction to ambition that threatens to unravel the very fabric of his life. i>"I don't need a reason to be with you, amor. But I'll give you ten thousand if it means you'll say yes. I don’t even know what to say more about Dominic, because this man had no personality. Being rich and on top was the meaning of his life, if not his wife. Typical alpha male behavior. Typical Ana Huang man behavior, but this time the hero was blond. Josh might be the exception though.
