About this deal

However, it’s important to identify the root cause of your sensitivity to prevent potential long-term issues. If your dentist confirms no underlying issues, a sensitive toothpaste may be a good option if your symptoms are becoming bothersome. How to choose a sensitive toothpaste

Regenerate Hyper Sensitivity Toothpaste 75ml | FEELUNIQUE

When teeth are sensitive, the pain felt is a signal from the nerves within. Their vital enamel surface has worn away, exposing the living structures underneath and making them vulnerable, causing hypersensitivity pain. REGENERATE ™ Hypersensitivity Toothpaste is a specially formulated medical device toothpaste clinically proven to treat hypersensitivity pain. Beware of abrasiveness with whitening toothpastes, which could make any existing sensitivity worse. But the following toothpastes contain active ingredients to help control tooth sensitivity whilst also improving appearance:Using a sensitive toothpaste may not be necessary if you only experience occasional sensitivity, but it is generally safe and effective. The main downside is that they tend to be more expensive than a regular toothpaste. You need to give it a couple of weeks for the effect of strontium chloride to build up before it can take full effect, and then continue to use it even if the symptoms improve.

Painkillers: As a temporary solution, painkillers may help to relieve pain if your tooth hurts to touch. Ibuprofen would be the best option, as it helps to reduce inflammation, but if you are unable to take it then paracetamol may also help. Always read the instructions before taking medication and be sure to consult a doctor if you are unsure. on an in vitro test measuring enamel surface microhardness after 3 days’ combined use of Advanced Toothpaste and Advanced Enamel Serum. BioMin – Calcium FluoroPhospho Silicate – a “bioactive glass” which essentially releases calcium and phosphate ions, also containing fluoride. Look at the active ingredients. In the US Sensodyne and Pronamel have one of two active ingredients: potassium nitrate, stannous fluoride or Novamin. I have split these into a helpful table below. If one ingredient isn’t working for you, try switching to the other. The active ingredient is the main difference with the pastes. REGENERATE Enamel Science™ toothpaste is powered by an exclusive and clinically proven NR-5™ technology; the NR-5™ ingredients combine to form a fresh supply of tooth enamel mineral which wrap and integrate onto teeth. Thanks to its unique formulation, the REGENERATE Enamel Science™ toothpaste has distinctive product characteristics: a dense formula with a rich texture due to the high content of ingredients and a fresh mint sensation. An abscessed tooth or a tooth infection: If you have an infected tooth, the gums around the affected tooth and the tooth itself may be sore or sensitive to touch. A tooth infection is often caused by damage to the tooth, tooth decay, or gum disease. A dental abscess occurs when pus forms inside the teeth, gums or in the bone that holds the teeth in place.

GDC number: 259369. Gemma qualified from Cardiff University School of Dentistry with BDS(Hons) in 2015. Yes, the recommendation is last thing at night. But so long as it is after your last meal and you aren’t eating or drinking anything other than water, it is fine to brush earlier in the evening. A specially formulated medical device by REGENERATE™ Enamel Science, clinically proven to treat hypersensitivity pain. Different toothpastes do have different active ingredients for sensitivity. You need to give them a couple of weeks to see if they do have an effect.

About

As far as I am aware the ingredients shouldn’t have a negative interaction. It’s more a case of not getting the maximum benefit from the two pastes. I can’t find any research directly investigating the use of the two different products for managing sensitivity, so there is no evidence to confirm or deny either way.
