Many windows and doors are fitted with a Flipper gasket to weather seal the opening sash against the frame. The R4055X Flipper gasket is one of the most popular seals of this design. Rehau used this flipper rubber seal on all their windows and doors and insisted that this created a seal to achieve a high performance weather seal. Brush Seals: These consist of a strip of bristles or a brush-like material, often used in sliding windows or doors. They allow for smooth operation while providing a barrier to dust and drafts. As their name suggests, Wedge gaskets are wedge shaped, so they can simply push into place between frame and double-glazed unit. They feature a rib that hooks onto the frame to keep it in place.
