I was impressed with the amount of dust and dirt the eufy Mach V1 Ultra was able to lift from the carpet, including long hair, with none getting tangled around the rollers. Which, in a house of three women and girls, is a big plus. A replaceable batter would have been nice but 45min is also plenty. My maid is able to vacuum my 3500sf house in 40min for reference. To test the mopping capabilities of the Eufy Mach V1 Ultra, we cleaned roughly 1,500 sq. ft. in the home of one of our team members, which is made up of tile floors. We cleaned with only water in the tank, however, it can use the cleaning solution provided by Eufy. After recently replacing the carpeting in my home’s downstairs level with hard flooring, I realized the value of an all-in-one vacuum and mop. These combo appliances are incredibly convenient and significantly reduce the time and effort needed to keep your floor sparkling. So when Anker’s Eufy brand announced the Mach V1 Ultra cordless vacuum and steam mop—the first product released under its Mach sub-brand of premium smart cleaning appliances—I was eager to try it out. But Mach was one step ahead of me there and the V1 Ultra uses a three-layered noise-canceling technology to keep it at 65 decibels, about the same noise level as a dishwasher. This is achieved by using the roller brush in the product’s base, along with a detachable tank of water below the handle, which triggers the steam feature. The safe Eco-Clean Ozone Disinfection sterilizes the vacuum and sanitizes floors during steam cleaning. Eufy Eufy added what it considers to be a helpful voice feature, intended to guide you through using the vacuum. Like, it lets you know when steam is ready or reminds you to empty the dirty water tank. But for my part, the execution needs work. The robotic voice sounded muffled, like it was coming from the bottom of the vacuum, and combined with a slight accent, I could never understand what it was saying. It might be better if I could change the voice and the speaker was set closer to the user, but as it is, I was glad that I was able to turn it off completely. Eufy says Steam Mode is for hardwood floors only, and not intended for steam cleaning carpets or rugs. But I did try it on a low-pile entryway carpet, and though it obviously got it wet, the dirty water tank I emptied was disgusting. That means the vacuum did a darn good job. The self-cleaning mode is noisy but it's in the closet so idc. Eager to see if it can remove hairs from the roller too.The third button is further up the handle and it enables or disables the voice prompts. These voice prompts are helpful but have a somewhat robotic accent that makes it difficult to understand when you’re new to the device. Rather than letting a pure zero tank the score, we recognize that this is simply a limitation of the device and the subsequent scores are not factoring that debris type at all. Hardwood Floor Cleaning The eufy Mach V1 Ultra performed well on hard floors, shifting an impressive amount of grime from tiled, vinyl and laminate flooring. This included tea stains and baked bean splodges, plus more ground in stains, like old curry sauce and Play Doh. It performed well both with and without the fancy cleaner mix. For the Steam mode, holding the trigger down activates the water for steaming. We recorded that noise level at 56.6 dB. However, when the trigger isn’t pulled, it defaults to suction mode and is effectively 70.7 dB practically speaking.Long runtime: During both the specific runtime tests and our prolonged use of its 3 modes, it is apparent that it has an incredibly long battery life. One thing I didn’t like about the eufy Mach V1 Ultra is that the vacuumed dust and crumbs and dirty mop water end up mixed together in the same tank, creating some sort of filth soup. To avoid this, I would suggest emptying frequently to stop things getting too grimy. How well does the eufy Mach V1 Ultra clean carpets?
