About this deal

Here you have a heated, more technical discussion why Windows on ARM SBCs doesn't make sense, on an example of N2+, superior to C4 in almost every regard: viewtopic.php?p=279168#p279168 It's hard to believe the C4 outperforms the XU4 in mining, it's certainly slow compiling the kernel. Wonder why it does well at some tasks but poorly at others. And Panfrost's Bifrost support now brings some OpenGL (desktop graphics acceleration, the non-Windows DirectX counterpart if you like) and OpenGL ES (a smaller OpenGL subset for mobile devices) support to Mali Bifrost devices. And the lead developer now says that Gnome 3 on Wayland is now supported! And in the relatively near future: a hardware accelerated Xorg with Gnome 3 and KDE Plasma will be available as well, seeing as Panfrost for the Midgard product line already supports multiple desktop environments on Xorg. This is all really exciting stuff! (And no, Vulkan drivers are not available and not part of Panfrost.)

Discussion that you have presented does not explain why Windows on ARM does not make a sense, but only why installation Windows on Odroid was impossible on on 10.2020. Many things has been changed same as Windows 10 ARM Insider Preview -> Windows 11 ARM PRO. It is wrong to say that anything make no sense if somebody may need it as a usefull thing. I wasn’t able to get it to boot Armbian from the SD card with the eMMC attached, so I had to install the official Ubuntu Mate to the SD card. Once I’d done that I was able to bypass the eMMC and boot into Mate, from which I wiped the eMMC and flashed my Armbian image.filesystem-2020.05-1-aarch64 7,7 KiB 0,00 B/s 00:00 [#######################################################] 100%

USB-C can only deliver 5V@3A in "dumb mode". To get extra power, USB-PD "smart mode" is required. This requires additional logic and support to negotiate and well as a premium "smart" power adapter.Your assumption that you are a typical Odroid customer is fundamentally wrong. Same with your assumption that Windows is the standard, reference OS. librsvg-2:2.48.6-1-aarch64 1733,4 KiB 2,42 MiB/s 00:01 [#######################################################] 100%
