About this deal

There are various inscriptions on the watch such as the ‘5 Sports’ emblem. It also displays the given water-resistance of the watch as well as the words ‘AUTOMATIC’ and ‘23 JEWELS’ in reference to the watch’s movement. These inscriptions fit just right within the timepiece’s aesthetic without cluttering the dial with unnecessary information. Meanwhile, the watch’s day/date window has discs that match the dial colour. This adds coherence to the watch for a more aesthetically pleasing experience.

The watch has a 100-meter water resistance, which, of course, isn’t the most impressive for a dive watch, but again, bear in mind the price. Plus, 100 meters is well enough for the most part. It is not suitable for diving, but enough for swimming. After all, most people won’t go diving with their watch anyway. And now, we’re highlighting an affordable diver watch that completes any and all collections: the iconic Seiko Sea Urchin from the Seiko 5 family. The Seiko 5 Criteria Inside the Seiko SNZF17 is the legendary Cal. 7S36 automatic self-winding movement. It’s one of the brands movement that’s has been proven to be robust and reliable.

Almost all of their watches feature the Hardlex crystal, which basically scratch resistant mineral crystal. Well, what can you expect from the watch with such a reputation. It’s the hallmark of great design after decades of innovation from the company. It has only 100 m water resistance, and without any screw down crown. The latter caused me to think that this is more to a general purpose sports watch instead of diver’s watch. Moreover, the watch’s water resistance sits safely at 100m or 330 feet. Considering the watch’s price, this is already pretty impressive. It’s definitely a steal! You can take it for a recreational swim or snorkeling, but not for scuba diving. You’d want better water resistance for that. Don’t risk your Sea Urchin for a deep underwater dive!Okays, that was my take on Seiko SNZF17 review. This watch has been a massive success for Seiko and the sales figures also support that fact.

If I go with the SNZF I wouldn't need to change anything other than the crystal and the hands which I know can be done. So you say the SNZF isn't a true diver, would I still be able to take it in the swimming pool or shower? I won't be doing any diving, I just like the look, however I forget to take watches off in the pool or shower so I always make sure they are water resistant enough for this.....will the SNZF fit that bill?? This strap and lug width is very nice because it is not too bad for regular people’s hands to adjust to. There are many different types of straps for your liking also. We will get into these different types in the next paragraphs. Or the other option is to use watch winder which can actually has the same cost as the watch itself LOL. Problem To Keep It Accurate?

Different models under the Sports line include the SRPD53K1, SRPD55K1, SRPD57K1, SRPD59K1, SRPD59K1, and SRPD61K1, among others. Fortunately, Seiko produces all sorts of case/dial/strap designs and color combinations, so there’ll definitely be one that will suit your individual tastes. The Seiko SNZF17 on the other hand is sportier (it’s a Seiko 5 Sports watch after all) with the bigger hands, markers and font. These aren’t the fanciest components you’ll see in a watch but they are, indeed, the greatest you can get at a modest price. Review on the Seiko Sea Urchin (SNZF15/SNZF17) 1. Case
