Epigone is something clearly unique; something which is clearly not a pale imitation of something greater.Every time I put it in, I’m immersed in the most captivating riffs, the boldest ideas, the most intense rasps and growls, and a compositional variety that consistently engages. From start to finish, Fear Not regales listeners with an idiosyncratic take on orchestral metal that evokes some all time classics. Yet, I can’t help but continue to reiterate the thought that I ended my review of Amorphis’ 75th studio album on: I’m not sure we even know what to do with the kind of fecundity and consistency that Amorphis has shown over the years. The people of Quahog don't rival the great detectives in history, at least not when it comes to their powers of deduction.

I've found that the best move that gives you the most flexibility is to use a quilt with a liner and a high r-value (warmth) sleeping pad. The Seth MacFarlane animated sitcom has managed to maintain an audience since its debut in 1999, delivering countless controversial jokes, outrageous moments, and clever storylines throughout that time. Otherwise it is recommended to wait for 10 days after having the treatment to then colour your hair. I cannot begin to express the depth of my pride that this is what we know to be true about AngryMetalGuy. The last time there was a mass exodus from Obscura, I liked Hannes Grossmann’s solo records better than Alkaloid.As usual, I’ll try to make 2024 a better year, where I am Angry Metal Guy in practice, not just in spirit. On top of that, he was an excellent performer who carried an intensity into his performances that few can manage.

There are, of course, minor things that make it a little less my favorite than its predecessor, but The Orb exudes Gorod’s unique character and is so flawlessly executed that any criticisms seem trivial. After years of experimenting with their sound, the huge orchestras, the ridiculous album lengths, and the concept albums that no one understands but the band, The God Machine is just Blind Guardian doing what they’ve always been the best at: writing honest power/thrash with few(er) bells and whistles (than their later career would’ve had you believe they were capable of). These guys have some growing to do in terms of writing, but The Decline of the Enlightened Gods is a great album and I look forward to hearing more from them in future.Disillusion // Ayam [November 4, 2022 via Prophecy Productions] — Disillusion’s Ayam is an album that does what the best Opethian progressive death metal bands have done since the early 2000s. It also serves as a reminder that Haken is one of the best active prog bands, honestly, the only limits they have are the ones they set for themselves. In Family Guy, death is more than just a state of being (or not being, depending on how one looks at it), but rather a real character who is responsible for harvesting the souls of those who die. You begin to root for the bad guy and want the drug deal to be executed, and the villain becomes somehow good. Bass-driven, The Police-referencing, awkward vaguely moralistic lyrics, but with that slight underlying sadness that shows up on everything these guys has ever done?
