About this deal

Regarding the sound quality, it does not have any surround sound features except for the usual two-channel stereo. The sound is considerably accurate and many listeners were very impressed by it. (especially when compared to the price.) Don't judge me, but I've lost my fair share of headset microphones in my career, but I'm not a huge fan of leaving the mic in front of my face all day when it's not in use. A flip-up mic is a much better option, so glad to see one make the cut with the HS55. This is a 3.5mm wired headset, however, so just bear in mind that both the microphone and audio quality could be adversely affected by your motherboard's DAC/amp or whatever sound card/external device you plug it into. It shouldn't make a huge difference nowadays, even the cheapest motherboards have relatively decent audio, but worth sparing a thought for your holistic audio setup. For the price of the headset, you’ll get decent audio quality. While the sound quality will distort at higher volumes, the mix is fairly clear in mid-range settings. Besides that, you can use additional software to enable virtual 7.1 surround sound.

Beyerdynamic includes two different cable lengths cables; 3m and a shorter 1.8m for console gamepads, Nintendo Switch, or other portable devices. These cables didn't make any noise, which was something that was present on the MMX 100. The low power requirement of 48 ohms allows you to use the DT 900 Pro X on almost anything without needing an amplifier too.

Buying Guide

If you’re looking for quality in electronics, you can’t go wrong with Sony. The PlayStation Gold Wireless Headset is a premium wireless headset for PlayStation users. You’ll get high-quality sound and construction, but you’ll have to pay for it too. Each headset that we test we use as our daily drivers for at least a week, that way we get to experience not just the sound, but what it's like to use each set of cans on a daily basis. The Redragon H510 Zeus is a surprisingly good-sounding, comfortable headset with a decent microphone. It has very little pink on it, but if you are a fan of the design, you will love what this headset can do for you, especially considering the price. Though all things considered, I struggle to imagine a customer who wouldn't be happy with these as a wireless gaming headset. They're pricey, but within reason for their specs, and they certainly deliver on everything you could want for gaming, and listening to music, on your PC.

Another plus for this headset is sound quality, as those big earcups deliver some impressive sound. For the price you are paying, the audio quality is top-notch. The range is wide, and you won’t lose much quality at higher volumes as well. The bass is powerful as well, so it’s great for just about any gaming experience. On top of that, you have little kawaii cat faces built into the outside of the earcups for maximum cuteness. If you are a streamer and you want something adorable to wear on camera, you can’t go wrong here. The G951s will look cute on just about anyone. That impressive battery life is, of course, a best-case scenario. A lot of that has to do with the volume you're running the headset at, and volume is probably my only real complaint. It's absolutely loud enough but I can listen to it at full volume and still be fairly comfortable. Also, as is the case with many low-end wired headsets, the volume control knob can only change the volume of the headphones instead of the source device. The top headsets offer the best sound for gamers at each end of the budget spectrum. Quality drivers ensure you get the best audio, and we're against gaming headphones that overdo low frequencies, as it provides terrible bass response in most cases. The best gaming headsets offer more balance drivers that require minimal tweaking on your end, and you won't need to spend hundreds of dollars. This pink gaming headset is bulkier so you will have some difficulties carrying it around and I can only recommend this for your PC/Console gaming setup and not for handhelds and mobile gaming. In terms of audio quality, the Kraken delivers as well. You’ll get a rich sound out of the box, and with additional software, you can enable 7.1 positional audio. The sound quality is very good, even at high volumes, while the bass is also powerful. If you play a lot of shooters and action games, you will love the way those shots thump in your ears. If you tend to play for longer periods of time, you will appreciate the comfort of the D99. The ear cups are big and comfortable to wear, even after a long session. Even better, the headset is lightweight enough that you won’t feel it weighing you down. It also helps that the headband is separate from the frame, so you are not supporting the full weight of the headset all the time.
