Absolutely loved Annika with her propensity to talk too much and avoid conflict, all while trying to manage her OCD. Her lips part and she watches me closely, as if engraving every detail of my face to memory before she swallows.
Her stories and her writing are so trite and there are so many of them already that each time I find it more and more difficult to draw comfort from her mainstream, mediocre content. I'm really sad and annoyed with all the universe, the second generation is honestly a bunch of spoiled rich kids who Rina is trying to force mental illness (like Annika saying she has OCD, I have OCD and this isn't OCD bitch) to justify the bad behavior ( and they look like toddlers doing pranks). the previous book was such a disappointment and when it was revealed this was Creigh and Anni’s book.Let's start with Creighton and Annika's relationship, I liked so much the start of the book, but so in the half, Rina just stopped and the book keep being the same, with so many unnecessary scenes with their boring and stressful friends (read Remi the king of being annoying, Cecily the girl who doesn't have a personality, Landon who keep trying so hard to be a bad boy, etc). annika was not a sunshine, she was just a naive 17-year-old girl who made the color purple her whole personality. The grumpy sunshine was scrumptious got me licking my fingers blushing giggling kicking my feet- EVERYTHING. but in their own respective books, they act like the same ol cavemen psychopaths that i'm tired of reading. The subtle moments they shared before they become a couple - my favorite has to be the part where they have a picnic and dance on the rain.

God of Pain: Legacy of God 2” is a testament to Rina Kent’s talent for crafting intricate and suspenseful plots. I might be bias because i love the Volkov family to bits but this has to be one of my favs works ever since she wrote and finished deception trilogy (sorry aspen and king).
He was adopted by King Aiden 🥰 and Elsa when he was 3, yet he still has emotional scars from those traumatic years he was with his birth parents. In the scene with Landon we see some more dark shit, but with Annika the only thing he does is slap her ass.
My eyes meet his muted ones, and it reminds me of those times we got in trouble—because of his anarchist plans—and he tried everything under the sun to come out unscathed. With each page, readers are drawn deeper into a world where pain becomes a catalyst for transformation and redemption. if you ask me to differentiate bw killian, creighton, landon, and jeremy, i probably won't be able to.
From the quiet and aloof Creighton King we were previously introduced to, I fell in love with the multitude of brilliance and depth that fascinated me not only in his singular focus of topics or subjects, but also in his awareness of everything or everyone around him. Yes, I continue to treat people nicely, remember their names and ask about their last social media post, but it’s all part of a feigned behavior. of course, me being excited for Jeremy's book is already obvious bc i've loved him since the Deception trilogy. This book is a must-read for fans of Rina Kent and anyone seeking a riveting and unforgettable reading experience. We even get car scenes, an in-the-air scene (I love it when a man is strong enough to be able to do this), and my favorite: sit down so I can eat dessert 😅.
i was giddy during their cute moments, which they had more than i thought they would but i adored it. I love that,this time, the main couple didn’t have just 5-10 pages towards the end for their peaceful scenes. I do not think ANYBODY will see that twist coming, I also do not think anybody will see the events that transpired after he confronted Jeremy. But for some reason I had more difficulty connecting to Annika and Creighton's story than I had expected. When he finds out about Annika’s parents being connected to his childhood trauma, he wants to take matters into his own hands and avenge not his parents who considers to be trash but avenge the 3-year-old little helpless boy who was shaped by what happened.
