About this deal

Sometime during the years 2001-2003 when The Lord of the Rings movies were coming out, my beautiful wife bought me this Tolkien inspired book ends from Barnes and Nobles for a Christmas present. From quotes, to depictions of specific scenes, to slightly more subtle pieces, there’s bound to be something for every fan! Introducing this Officially Licensed Lord of the Rings Argonath Bookends, a magnificent tribute to one of the most iconic landmarks in Middle-earth . Each piece showcases a towering depiction of a proud warrior carved with intricate engravings and ornate armour faithfully recreated.

But, studying the book ends closer, and considering the year this was released, and the fact that Bilbo looks more like Ian Holm’s Bilbo, I would go the latter. And then, “here at the end of all things,” from Frodo’s loving words to Sam after the destruction of the Ring. These bookends are made of metal, with Gandalf and Frodo on one side, and Mount Doom and Barad-dûr on the other.Exchange - Normally exchanges are completed within 1-2 working days but we will always let you know of a delay. Cast in the finest resin before being expertly hand painted, these bookends are designed to hold your treasured books securely in place, as well as making them a true centrepiece for any Lord of the Rings enthusiast’s collection. First, a line from the song “The Road Goes Ever On,” which Bilbo sings various versions of in The Hobbit and in The Lord of the Rings.

Keep in mind that anyone can view public collections - they may also appear in recommendations and other places. The bookends do need a little assembly, but even someone less than handy, like me, will have no issues assembling them.

I figured they deserved a place of honor, and between the bookends my wonderful wife bought me seemed just like the spot. Of course, in Peter Jackson’s movie, they make no mention of Frodo turning 33, and focus on Bilbo’s eleventy-first birthday. As a Lord of the Rings fan (and I’m sure any fellow fans reading this would agree), I can never have enough Tolkien-related stuff.Or, of course, it could also be Gandalf paying a visit to see his old friend Bilbo for “A Long Expected Party” that Bilbo was throwing for himself (he was turning 111 after all) and his heir Frodo Baggins (who he adopted when he was 99 as Frodo always was the favorite of Bilbo’s cousins, and took him in to live with him. The ideal storage tool: you really need a universal bookstop for your home school bookcase, as books are always falling over as items move in and out.
