After a drunken night out, Cricket revisits her failed style Instagram, deuxmoi, and posts some celebrity gossip.

Feeling stuck, Cricket reignites an old style instagram account and turns it into a celebrity gossip page while drinking with friends. Liiike…an entertaining but not good Netflix movie retelling of The Devil Wears Prada, but updated by an apathetic Grade 8 group creative writing project that just wants to be done already? There's something almost nostalgic about this book that made me think about the 2000s-era chick-lit I used to love.

That being said, the book flows well and it’s a great book to keep you more than entertained on a flight without WiFi (If you know, you know) and capturing the urgency of not being connected 24/7. Her boss wonders why she’s disappearing on the job, her friends are increasingly irritated by her dedication to the account, and she has celebrities, investors, and journalists approaching her nonstop. Cricket is still a doormat by the end of the book, only finally 'gaining confidence' at the very end, where she decided to quit working for Sasha and sell merch. I genuinely cannot believe that I, after an extremely long reading slump, picked up a book about a GOSSIP INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT and thought it would be entertaining literature.After a successful night of attention, DeuxMoi continues to blow up even farther than Cricket ever expected. DeuxMoi came up with the initial concept and was connected to Jessica Goodman through their respective literary agents.
