About this deal

Whether you are an expert at DIY products or new to the idea, leather care is just one of a multitude of popular uses for beeswax. Use a small soft piece of towel or cleaning rags and apply a small amount of beeswax leather conditioner to the surface. I generally use pieces of old cotton hoodies for buffing rags, and tho they may leave a bit of lint behind, they polish extremely well. This leaves a thin coat of beeswax on the surface to protect, soften and condition the leather grain and texture.

This has a little less beeswax than the Natural Beeswax Polish, so it’s easier to work into leather. Using beeswax-based shoe care products can remedy this, giving the leather a nice little boost in moisture. If you’ve invested in quality leather, invest in this quality Beeswax and Carnauba Neutral Leather Polish.

If you find that you wish to have a softer polish, re-melt your ingredients and add a bit more sweet almond oil or coconut oil. If you're not sure if it will work, I recommend trying a tiny bit on a hidden area before using it on the whole piece. A beeswax-based treatment can make these garments very water and wind resistant, whilst simultaneously increasing their durability for those tough days outdoors. As I mentioned before, this preparation will work on a huge variety of materials, is very long lasting, and is the basis for things like lip balm, oiled canvas, waxed leather etc.

Had to polish the wax off the helmet with a dry cloth to make it into a very thin coating but worked a treat! All beeswax based leather products are best applied in a warm ambient temperature to improve absorption. Our leather balm will nourish and protect all your leather accessories from shoes, bags, belts and sofas, giving them a whole new lease of life and extending their use for years to come.Parr's beeswax leather polish/ conditioner will feed your leather keeping it soft and supple to touch.

Ideally, the container should also be warmed beforehand by placing on a hot radiator to soften the contents. Ideal for leather sofas, classic car interiors, shoes, boots, handbags, leather jackets, saddles, tack, riding and stable-yard boots.Exactly how you use the beeswax dressing will depend on whether you’re applying it to furniture or clothing, but the general idea is the same. As you’ve probably already witnessed, leather tends to dry up and harden over time, even causing it to tear in some cases. Of course, as with anything else, any product pre-treated with beeswax will lose its water-resistant properties over time, but there are plenty of products on the market you can use to reproof your garment. Testing it before and after, the leather is now more water resistant, the water just balling on the leather and not sinking in.

While this beeswax recipe for leather care is a great way to protect your expensive items, there are some things you should keep in mind. Once the wax has been absorbed evenly into the fabric and dried, you can take your jacket or trousers out for their next adventure! T1-grade natural carnauba wax known as the 'queen of waxes' because it is the hardest of all the natural waxes. So, I eventually made a trip to a local bee keeper and picked up some natural beeswax and started experimenting with that. Commercial leather polish and conditioners also contain a highly dangerous cocktail of neurotoxic chemical ingredients. The frequency of application of beeswax to leather depends on how often the leather is used and whether or not it is exposed to harmful conditions. Beeswax is not just for waterproofing boots; it also improves their durability by rejuvenating and hardening the leather.
