emily’s timeline was so interesting and kept me intrigued, i wish the whole book had just followed her instead of that boring detective shit. There are some good twists, and while Emily’s case is resolved, I was left with a few unanswered questions.
However, if you do choose to read Girl, Forgotten first then fret not, there is enough information and backstory present to partially fill the gaps. Andrea is partnered up with Leonard Bible and together they get allocated the night shift, keeping an eye on the judge and her family during the late hours. She would never even see her eighteenth birthday because by the end of prom night, Emily would be dead. She is not perfect and makes mistakes, but, like Emily, she has the strength of character and courage to follow her convictions.There were also some elements to her backstory that weren’t fully explored, however, I think these might have been contained in ‘Pieces of Her’ which I hadn’t realised was the first book in the series. In a town where everyone has a secret, will Andrea be able to sift through the lies, the half-truths and the misremembered memories to find out who killed Emily?
