While it is a product that has been designed for exterior use, it can be used on interior surfaces. This is because exterior products are simply designed with extra durability to help deal with the weather conditions an exterior surface must endure. This does not mean it can't be used inside however, it simply means that the product has more weather resistance than an interior paint. Making sure the surface is thoroughly clean means you’re going to be applying the paint onto the surface only, not on grease or grime and this ultimately is going to help the paint key to the surface. Yes, exterior surfaces which have been weathered can be washed down using warm water and diluted detergent followed by rinsing off with clean water – then proceed to prepare suitably with applicable degreasers and, if needed, primers, before painting. Based on air-drying acrylic resin, Hycote is perfect for a variety of surfaces and performs exceptionally well on plastic due to its excellent adhesion and durability.

It’s worth mentioning that when using a spray can to paint plastic, you should always do it outdoors when possible to avoid any inhalation of fumes. Summary There are a few areas where I over worked the paint a little too much. So with a very fine grit paper and I mean fine, I lightly sanded over the top coat once it was fully dry and removed some of the ridges. Clean Up

Can you paint over dark-coloured uPVC with light colours? Can you change brown uPVC windows to white? I use Bedec MSP in soft satin for plastic loft hatches. These hatches aren’t smooth plastic so typically you don’t need to prime them first. If it is smooth, use Dulux’s Super Grip Primer. I need to paint an external waste pipe which is plastic. Would a normal exterior oil based U/C and topcoat be OK? Maintenance is due when a Polytrol treated surfaces shows signs of fading. Maintenance

And whilst thinking all of those things for approximately 40 minutes, i’d already done my first coat of paint and left it to dry for an hour as per the instructions.
