The book is a fun and wonderful read that will appeal to and be enjoyed by a variety of people, but if you are a reader who was a female musician or otherwise involved in the music scene in that era, you should particularly take note! I took off one star because I became really invested in her life but she didn't really talk about her 3 marriages or 2 kids until one brief mention at the end. Holly Knight wrote some of the bangers of the '80s: "Love Is a Battlefield," "The Best," and so many more.She showed the boys how it was done when many women were still struggling to get a foot in the door.

In March 2019, the show opened at the Stage Operettenhaus in Hamburg, and on February 9, 2020 at the Beatrix Theater in Utrecht, the Netherlands.

In her story, you get a behind-the-scenes look at the music scene of the 1980s and some of the world’s biggest stars. She does it without regret and doesn't apologize for doing things the way that she wanted to, which too many people don't admit. She started playing classical piano at the age of four, continuing her studies for ten years at the Mannes School of Music.
