Mashiro is an attractive teenage girl with short dark-purple hair that has square bangs hanging over her forehead, purple eyes, a moderately curvy body and large breasts. really enjoys reading graphic manga, Dead Tube really shines upon itself on it's artwork, thanks to Kitakawa Touta, but my main concern is how hard it tries to be to, "become the most edgiest manga" in the story line. I won't be spoiling anything that happens after chapter one but I will hint out that everything past chapter one is a disappointment. The format of the story is just fantastic, showing how crazy humans can be just for fame and fortune, and will do anything for it, but it will bring you down that it just kind repeats itself for the next several chapters. All they want and do is sex and murder, giving you a vibe that it just repeats itself consistently. After chapter 15, it just becomes ridiculous and uninteresting, trying to keep itself up with being edgy. In my opinion, you don't connect with the story and just basically stay for the artwork provided. One thing that really grinds my gears is the characters. Idiot Hero: Considers himself to be the world’s #1 hero, but he generally isn’t too bright. His sister often takes advantage of this for her own means.

The setting of the story is pretty common too. You have the highschool, the MC house, sometimes the SC house and it just really doesn't bring much to the table. Though after the 12 or so chapters, the setting changes completely which is good in a way but it doesn't change the fact that the story itself is kind of bland. His sister, his partner and confidant who supported him from the very beginning, who encouraged him to become "Justice Man" in the first place? Not only did she frame the Yakuza whom he killed as the culprit of the fire that scarred him, but it's implied that she was the one who started it in the first place. Mai is able to fight while suffering two gunshot wounds (one from behind on her rib and one on her leg) by Ms. Balus. Terror Hero: Calling her a "hero" in any context is pushing it, but a key part of Mashiro's success as a fighter is her innate ability to inspire sheer dread into the hearts of her enemies. Throwing off their gaurd long enough for her to land a killing blow. Not Distracted by the Sexy: What does he do when two very attractive women come into his apartment to seduce him? Tell them he's busy editing a video and that they should cover up. And when they rape him? He chastises them for treating sex so carelessly.Screw the Money, I Have Rules!: The hundreds of millions of yen he makes on DEAD Tube mean nothing to him. Instead, his goal is to destroy DEAD Tube from the inside by becoming a Premium Member and put an end to the meaningless violence. This complete disregard for wealth along with his concern for Mizuno's health also causes her to fall in love with him. Dumb Muscle: Has a very muscular build as befitting of a self-proclaimed superhero while being a rather gullible person.

Ascended Extra: She started off as a minor antagonist who got throughly humiliated by Mashiro before becoming a major recurring character in the later story arcs. Betsuki’s past is revealed to be a case of a Teacher and Student affair, she fell deeply in love with a student who convinced her to follow a serious and sexually intimate relationship; in the truth the student used Betsuki as gateway for him and his friends to have sex, the school board found out and she was fired; however Betsuki became twisted after she was offered with keeping her career as a teacher if she participated on DEAD Tube, creating a perfect image of her beloved student, projecting in anyone she has sex with, if they fail to please her she will kill them, like she originally did with all the guys her boyfriend shared her with. Idiot Ball: For someone who has been manipulating Machiya for a long time, Oushima should have put more effort in doctoring a photo while trying to fool someone whose specialty is dealing with footage, immediately noticing such an amateur collage.

Alternative Titles

It is revealed that she met Machiya at one point in their childhood and became fascinated with his desire to capture beautiful things on camera, and made him promise to capture her on camera in the same way. Only Sane Man: She seems to be the only character who realizes how messed up DEAD Tube really is. She's also the least homicidal and manipulative. Morality Pet: His family is the last thing that keeps him in control of his more sociopathic tendencies. The loss of his father and sister finally drive him over the edge. Miwa becomes this for him after the death of his family. Lawman Baton: Mashiro's weapon of choice is a collapsible baton, presumably because it's both easy to use and to hide (when necessary). Put on a Bus: After the events of the DEAD Tube Neo arc, she leaves the Film Research Club and transfers schools, specifically so she wouldn't be pulled into DEAD Tube again.

The characters are cliche, plain and uninteresting to see. You get your MC, boring, has no meaning in life and just stays there for plot convenience, then you have SC, who is a crazy yandere bitch that will do anything for money and fame (or just outright crazy). Any other character introduced will just make you annoyed to the point you're asking yourself 'when will they die?' and if that thought ever arose from my mind, I would drop the series completely. You don't really feel for the characters but rather to just pitch a tent or unleash the water gates.

Dead Tube Chapter 86

On the other side, Mashiro displays the naivety of a schoolgirl, blushing when she is filmed by Machiya, even crying when her first kiss wasn't him. At first i thought the main male lead was just your average student getting caught in a mess. But my god. I clearly did not expect him to have such a weird fetish. Ever heard of the phrase" Never Judge a book by its cover?" yea, well this phrase could be used on every Character. Its the Unique sudden Eureka moment when you finally see their true colors that makes you think,"Wow that's screwed up" But once you expect this the factor of amazement is gradually decreased. One thing that makes me sad is the development of many characters are utterly ignored.(or just ATM). If we could learn more about the characters then maybe we would emphasis with them a bit more. But still gotta Love the Main lead, Both female and Male :D. You Kill It, You Bought It: Apparently becomes the Film Research Club's President by virtue of the former president and all other members being dead. Tomohiro meets Mai the next day at school, and she tells him that she has managed to frame an innocent man for her crime, and also declares herself to be Tomohiro's lover. She also pays him five million yen for his camerawork and tells him to continue working with her as a camera, this time to film the head of his film club, a girl named Sanagi Oushima for five days, claiming she will commit suicide after five days.

Boom, Headshot!: With aid from a pistol sneaked in by Mashiro, she executes three of the four students who assaulted her with this. Then Mashiro takes the same pistol and takes out Betsuki-sensei in the same manner for assaulting Machiya.

Transfer Teacher who takes up Machiya’s class, she is a sweet woman who tries her best to be friendly with her students and immediately starts to do so in her new class, another immediate thing is her appointment as target for DEAD Tube; Machiya witnessed how much of a good person Betsuki is and feels compelled to warm her of these events, for his surprise Betsuki is well aware of what DEAD Tube is and that she will put up anything her beloved students make her go through, trusting there is good in their hearts. Bring Me My Brown Pants: Peed herself when Mashiro started demolishing the Film Research Club members. Ax-Crazy: Faked his own death and masterminded every terrible thing that has ever happened to Machiya in his entire life, including the gang rape and murder of his own daughter Kana, just so he could record his son's never-ending spiral of misery as his DEAD Tube magnum opus. He is also revealed to have been one of DEAD Tube's founders, and has done even more monstrous things in the name of content creation for the platform. Berserk Button: Accusing him of being a “fake hero” is a good way to end up having your face smashed in by Justice Man, as Diligent Manager learned the hard way. Lady of War: Maintains an air of grace and elegance while using firearms to keep her distance from all the blood and carnage that unfolds. She also carries an umbrella to keep herself from getting drenched in blood.
