Redesigned with an ultra-durable ABS-polycarbonate red enclosure, the QuNexus RED from Keith McMillen is the same compact, feature-rich, 25-key MIDI/CV controller you know and love, but with a few upgrades. Aside from the aesthetic change, the new QuNexus is fully equipped to handle the MPE software and hardware. There are 6 other buttons on the left panel of QuNexus. Your classic octave up and down arrows (also can be used as cursors in Live Edit mode), 4 preset buttons (also function as ON/OFF for Toggle, Velocity, Tilt and Pressure attributes) and bend button which you can use for bending pitches. Preset C (Poly Pitch Bend): This preset allows outputting each key’s message on its own MIDI channel (Channel rotation). You can also think of this preset as having 10 pitch-bend wheels for your 10 fingertips. All of the QuNeo’s controls respond to pressure. The vast majority also respond to position, and this is where the QuNeo really sets itself apart from standard controllers. Take, for instance, the 4×4 grid of pads. Each of those pads is effectively also an XY pad and can be mapped to parameters. KMI call this three-dimensional control. When you consider just how many parameters can be controlled simultaneously, the expressive capabilities of the QuNeo are incredibly powerful. Although K-Board doesn't contain the internal sequencer, the additional I/O, or compatibility with the KMI MIDI Expander, it's a no-fuss controller for anyone who wants to add MPE-capabilities to their DAW-centered studio. It's also quite possibly the most affordable MPE controller on the market right now, so it's a fairly low investment to add highly expressive playability to your music when compared to some of the other options out there.

What's even more incredible is that you can extensively customize the behavior of each overlay itself. By default, the music-oriented overlays are designed for out-of-the box MPE operation—but depending on your needs, you can use the Sensel App to re-configure almost every detail of how your personal Morph maps each overlay's controls. If you want an extremely portable, rugged, and highly customizable controller, the Morph comes highly recommended.
