About this deal

Animal bingo is a fun way to get kids familiar with different kinds of animals while practicing their listening skills, hand-eye coordination, as well as word-image association. How do you play animal bingo? Once everyone is set up The caller is going to pull a card out of the calling card pile. They’ll show the card to everyone and whoever has that picture on their bingo board will put a marker over the picture. There are 10 unique cards included. If you have more than 10 players you can break them up into small groups and play in groups of 2-3 players. You can also hand out similar cards and have more than one winner at a time. For example, if I was the caller and I pulled out the red crab picture everyone with a red crab on their board would place a bingo marker over the picture.

You can play for a line (5 in a row) or a full card. The first person to get a line says “Bingo!”. You can keep playing afterwards for more lines if you have more prizes to give out. There are 30 calling cards to choose from so a full card may result in having a few people winning at the same time depending on the number of players. We recommend playing mostly for lines because of this. Mix up the cards and start a new game after a few lines have been won.An ocean-themed party means that water type games will be popular. Water balloon fights, playing in the sprinkler or even doing a slip n’ slide would be a blast. I always have related books available throughout a unit. On the top shelf, I have Steve Jenkins’ Down Down Down (an amazing book and one of Zoey’s very favorite books), The Big Book of the Blue (lovely!), and Ocean: a Photicular Book (see below). Ocean Bingo is such a fun chill game the whole family can play! It doesn’t take any skill and with the ocean pictures, even your little kiddos can have a good time playing! Ocean Bingo Printable

They can choose to act it out including making the animal noise for everyone to mark it off their cards if they have it. Of course, don’t forget to show the picture as well. To set up you’re going to cut out each of the calling cards, laminate them for added durability, mix them up and put them in a bowl or a bag or something that will make pulling out cards easy.
