The 4K master looks amazing, never seen the film like this. The extra content is all there, between the 4k disk and the blu ray (included in the steelbook). The rears are alive much of the time, especially during the dance scene and the scenes in the diner. Dialogue is perfectly intelligible, even during Bruce Willis' whispered lines. Gunshots sound a bit tinny, but they've always sounded that way. Actually, the gunshots in 'Pulp Fiction' sound much more realistic than they do in other movies. When Jules lays into his Biblical verses the entire soundstage quakes. The crescendo of his prophetic voice fills the room. LFE has its moments, and when called upon offers a resonate force of bass. Siskel & Ebert’s “At the Movies”: The Tarantino Generation (16:00) has the former dynamic critic duo talking about how the writer/director has possibly influenced other filmmakers.The 4K disc has languages in English, German, Italian, French and Japanese (just like old times) and subtitles in those languages plus Dutch and Korean. The Blu-ray disc has only English audio and Spanish subs. It might actually be an older disc — the menus are different, and it uses an older Lionsgate Logo. A Digital Code is enclosed in the metallic clamshell Steelbook. Pulp Fiction comes to Ultra HD Blu-ray from Paramount Home Entertainment featuring 2160pHEVC encoded video and lossless DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound.

A substantial audience saw Pulp Fiction and Tarantino’s success d’estime was even greater; he was able to build his next picture around an actress who hadn’t been a star since the ’70s and blaxploitation. If the Weinstein scandals haven’t done too much damage to Tarantino, it’s likely because his movie odes to ’70s trash cinema left out those exploitationers’ pervasive sexism — the female characters may not always be well treated, but they aren’t humiliated for cheap laughs or girlie nudity. When somebody gets raped in Pulp Fiction, it’s a guy. speedometer. The rear panel is also red. Center is a milkshake, burger, and juice box, three food and drink items that feature prominently throughout I do have the Bluray steelbook with the original artwork, so I'll probably get this and swap the discs. Pulp Fiction is most decidedly a classic film but, depending on who you talk to, the reaction to it isn’t in line with what we envision when we think of a true “classic”. Be that as it may, there is no doubt that writer/director Quentin Tarantino got it right. Among my favorite films, I love it for its rich, eclectic dialogue, ironic use of humor, and wonderfully infused pop culture/references, that combine with its edgy neo-noir, to make for one of the most entertaining films of the nineties.Rating Certificate: R (for strong graphic violence and drug use, pervasive strong language and some sexuality) Independent Spirit Awards (11:29) and Cannes Film Festival: Palme D’or Acceptance Speech (5:20; SD) just shows off the accolades Pulp Fiction received via these award ceremonies.
