While the seams are not fully sealed and the zippers are not fully waterproof, both of these potentially vulnerable areas are fortified with additional protective measures. This has been done because the bottom of the bag is likely to come into contact with the floor, and TPU can be scratched off. While neither bag has sealed seams to make them waterproof, they both provide excellent protection from the weather.
