About this deal
With oily skin, you need to be careful about the moisturiser you use, as you want to avoid adding further oil that may clog pores.
Now Boots’ own-brand No7 range are expanding into the high-end cosmeceutical market, with fans expected to clear the shelves of their two products launched on Wednesday. It contains mainly citric acid and some malic acid, AHA exfoliants known for their skin renewing properties.A light, refreshing gel with an oil-free formula, it instantly absorbs into the skin and delivers immediate moisture and lasting hydration for 72 hours. As you might guess from the “pro” part, it’s a precursor to vitamin B5 (whose fancy name is pantothenic acid).
It bears a close relationship to AHA superstar, Glycolic Acid that can be derived from it, so it's often claimed that Sugarcane Extract itself also exfoliates and brightens the skin. Few masks used at home contain high enough concentrations of key ingredients to make significant or lasting improvements. Some of them (namely hesperidin and luteolin) might even have skin brightening activity by inhibiting tyrosinase, the famous enzyme needed for melanin production. I say “paste”, because the texture isn’t really pasty as all- it’s a thick orange gel that you smooth on with your hands and leave on for up to 15 minutes to get to work on dullness, clogged pores and flakiness.
It contains AHA/PHA peel complex, fruit acids and liquorice to exfoliate while being gentle on the skin and is as effective as a peel.
