About this deal

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. It has helped me crystalize that the most obvious path is usually not the best one, and to hold that same standard of critical thinking across all projects and clients I collaborate with. As the moon cycles through its phases, you will be asked to check with yourself, once a week, to reflect on your recent experiences. The deepest care I give myself is something that ultimately does not end in selfish progress but supports growth in levels that go beyond my life and narrow experience. Her work includes the ongoing personal project Moon Lists, which reconsiders the practice of guided journaling through a filter of esoterica, playfulness, and extreme specificity.

Originally this existed solely as an interview series, where I would ask different women to respond to prompts based on their last month. Leigh created a workbook to accompany our Fall 22 campaign, and answered her own prompts during a week of traveling through the stillness of New Mexico. To tap into those uninterrupted moments of repose, we turned to our friend, Leigh Patterson of Moon Lists.

She has worked with a range of design-focused publications and high fashion brands, including Remodelista, Freunde von Freunden, Urban Outfitters, Sight Unseen, Shaina Mote, Apiece Apart, Wildsam Guides, Cereal, and J. I realized recently that the narrative I was telling others in casual conversation needed adjusting. As longtime readers of Leigh Patterson’s online project, Moon Lists, this book is a fun personal way to connect with the author’s engaging questions.

A guided journal structured around the phases of the moon; provides a place to note feelings of gratitude and moments of mindfulness while celebrating the turn of the seasons. There is no wrong way to do it, but I do think it becomes meaningful to separate the Moon List-ing from other to-do lists or notebooks you might use to structure a workday or task list. you’ll find yourself grabbing this journal booklet time and time again bridging the gap between the unconscious and conscious.

Structured around the phases of the moon, this guided journal encourages weekly reflections through eighteen months worth of writing prompts and suggestions, with references to astrology, architecture, and art. All of life is the present; I consider The Moon Lists to be a useful tool for gaining perspective and allowing you to see what’s in front of you with clearer eyes (along with many other practices; this just happens to be the one that works for me). I wrote to Abell, requesting to see the other questions on his list…and for permission to recreate his idea through the perspectives of different contributors. I also usually drink an obscene amount of sparkling water, cold brew, and matcha on repeat all day long.Loosely organized around the phases of the moon and punctuated with references to ’70s astrology, architecture, and art, Moon Lists encourages journalers to stop and reflect on the precious moments in their lives before time passes them by.
